Default Older Yokomo Hot Laps??

I got some free Yokomo Hot Laps tires with some other spare parts recently. The tires say XT-4MNR on the side. I have tried the Yokomo website but there is no listing for these tires. I am trying to find out what compound these are so I can compare them to Sorex, Take Off, etc. Any help would be great!!!

but just to clarify, your using all tc4 parts? thought it was the nitro tc3 out drives and tc4 bones.

yes ... TC4 bones and the TC4 one way outdrives that are a direct fit to the yokomo BD... ( yoke makes the 1way for associated, even for the old TC3, yokomo used to have a 1way for it).

... and sorry if i wasn't too clear about the hex... Turtlemaster is correct, you just have to file down the inside as stated in the instructions accompanying the rayspeed MIP's.

Droop?

no mention in the manual... any recommendations on droop settings?

I got mine finished and running today...all I can say is wow
alot of steering and corner speed. very fast out of the box.
Box stop set-up is perfect.

Tweek?

anybody have tweak problems yet? I haven't checked or balanced mine yet... but with my Pro4 and the tweak problems it had. and comparing it with the BD's upperdeck and shock towers that are not countersunk. in the event of a crash that it may get tweaked. I guess I'll have to check after a big crash. none the less... I think I'll countersink the shocktowers... just has a cleaner look when the screws are countersunk...

box stock setup is a very good starting point. for droop i've been using between 6-7.5 front and 5-6 in the rear. have run twice and have NOT had any tweak problem. the car has stayed very flat and worked. yesterday racing i changed setup around and forgot to reset the droop.... and noticed AFTER racing that my rear droop was over 7..................... it slides around at that still manged to TQ and missed winning the main by a second

very fast out of the box for sure

I was curious why they didn't make a countersunk top deck also.
It really helps to hold a tune. I might have to take mine to the local machine shop and have it done properly....cause knowing myself I would mess it all up. LOL....Only problem by doing this....I won't have Ti screws for as I just got the Ti Screw kit today or will have later this morning AND the kit is designed to the button head screws.....Hmmmmmmmm Maybe I could just order the Top deck size strait from Steve....
Now that would work...forgot he sells individual packs too...
Sorry was thinking out load again...LOL
Randy got a good starting point for me for SoCal...It seems you said the BD got worse from when you first started. Please let me know....Also if anyone else has a SoCal setup it would be great as I can not make it there before the RACE this SUnday there. Just trying to get a few good ideas for what changes really help for that track.
I will give a trade for the next JBRL track...4 Fun Hobbies. I just ran there last week. Got it pretty much dialed in for that track. When I go out to my Garage later I will through the BD on the setup board and post its settigns as I can not remember...(big problem when you get 30 mind starts to fade LOL).
Thanks in advance.
