Just wondering if anyone has dared to drill some holes in their chassis to mount holders for a battery bar instead of using tape? I know tape is better for balance etc. but I've never used it before and was wondering if anyone has modified their car to use a battery bar?

I plan to do so as soon as mine is assemble.. my other alternative is using the YOK.BD CF battery strap. and I also have Xrays battery screw-down strap.

Yea, I'm just a bit worried about drilling into a brand new chassis :S I've bought some tape anyway so I think I'll see how it goes for a while...

I'am also thinking about mounting a batt bar i don't now if i am giong to use the one from hpi because it isn't that pritty the one from the FK 05' of yok bd is nicer but from the 05 it's expensive so i don't now i am still al little worried to drill holes in the new chassis but with my expertise it's going to be okay.

No it doesnt say i am going to try that set up but ill run 50/40 cause i am running 19t we dont really have mod here the only thing is i guess 100T spurgear should work fine .i am waiting for some electronics to come in and ill post some picts up i just finished building the car the diff is fine i had to look at the instruction twice about the diff and noticed that those 2 spacers they dont go together one goes under the bearing and one on top on the long outdrive i pit it together and it works really good no play at all now i need one more for the front .One more thing i noticed is that this was the easiest car i ever build its unreal but again after you build an offroad 1/8 scale anything is easy

oh yea forgot to ask what benefits do you get from a bigger spurgear do you need it for even a tighter carpet track?

I probably won't have a chance to run it for a couple of weeks .

We got some of the ball diff pullies in stock yesterday...I quickly built a front diff with the pro4 parts to confirm that it would fit correctly like the spool does. Using the CVD's from the pro4 also and a bunch of shims to center it(something like 3.1mm on one side and 3.3mm on the other), it fits just fine!

This will be a good temporary solution if we can't get spare diffs soon enough . You must use the ball diff pulley, though; the one-way pullies have been reamed out to fit over the one-way.

HI,
someone knows how many spacers put under the pivot block in order to have 0 Deg Anti-dive and 0Deg Anti-squat?
Whit the standard set-up there is some anti-squat and anti-dive(but the manual don't show how).
Also someone knows what uses Hara?

the thickest 'silver' spacer from the pivot block spacer kit, i think it's 1mm from memory, gives pretty close to 0deg anti dive/squat...
