I must say I prefer the black as well - one reason I bought the original gearbox RS4 (over the TA01 and YR-4) was because of the black hardware, chassis plates and plastic.

I've had aluminum parts re-colored...or re-anodized to a different color.
your local anodizers can usually do... I had a Blue Pro3 at one time.

I hope the cyclone will be like another pro4, great out of the box. But still $450 is pushing it.

Is $450 street or recommended retail price?

what's the biggest difference in having the belt over the upper deck instead of having it under the deck...i noticed this was the biggest change from the 415msx...and it seems to be the main choice for companies now (yokomo, hpi/hb, tamiya, corally)

Most likely lower CG. If you lower the upperdeck (ooo tricky grammar)... your bulkheads, steering assembly, and everything else attached it it will be lower on the chassis, not to mention less material used. Since the belt doesnt really change position on the car (only the deck moves) hence you have an overall lighter and lower CG car.
