Default Aluminum outdrives

HPI didnt make aluminum outdrives for the Pro 4, but I have seen them as a hop up for the cyclone in the manual. Anyone know where this set can be purchased? I have been having a nice amount of luck with the graphite, but feel the aluminum will be a better dissipator of heat when these puppies finally do expire/

The only place I have seen them in stock is in Hong Kong or Japan shops. Hopefully some should be available from Speed Tech soon. I don't think distributors know about this part as it is special to the Hara and Surikan versions. You also have to run blades on the driveshafts as the slots are bigger. I believe that the outdrives come with a set though.

Got a look at one of the BMI prototype chassis and it looks awesome. Went around the track pretty good to. This is going to be a dialed kit for the rug when it is released.

I wonder if they are the same size as the ones that come with the old but faithful Pro 2????

The driveshafts on the Cyclone S are just of a normal dogbone arrangement, so will not be as smooth as the Cyclones universals.

Is it just me or does that manual tell you to build the car in a totally different order to the normal Cyclone? Strange.

Hi folks / HotBodies officials (if any)

will there be a AndyMoore LE released in a near future with the new spool, shock tower and rear rigidifier as showed on Andy's car pics from Collegno? Thinking about hopping onto the cyclone bandwagon, but I don't want to get a Hara or Surikarn LE now if there's a new one released in a few weeks...

Thanks!
Paul

Was speaking with Andy and folk from Mirage (UK dist.) last weekend.

if it happens it won't be until next year.

From what I heard, whats left in inventory for Surikarn is it. No more since its discontinued and the Hara is next in the coming months. The Andy Moore edition will be the replacement, I would assume within a few months they would announce the change. Big question is will it be purple since he drives the Hara edition or some new color? Red, Gold....???

I'm so embarassed to ask this, but the search feature is killing me, and I'm jonesin' to get my LHS to order up a Cyclone-S with a few of the full-blown cyclone parts (specifically the motor-mount) to use when I build it.

What I can't find is the part number. Horzion doesn't list anything right now, the HB site doesn't even have the stupid manual up, and speedtech doesn't list ANY of the bulkheads at all.

What I'm looking for, in order of preference are:

Surikarn-Blue Motor-Mount P/N
Hara-Purple Motor-Mount P/N
Stock Black Motor-Mount P/N

Any help would be greatly appreciated, including any help with the "Search This Thread" feature. I tried "motor mount part" "blue motor mount," etc., and nothing got anywhere close, and I flat-out KNOW somebody put a text post in here with all of the uniqe-anno part#'s and part names, and it's not even turning up that!!!

And darn it, I wanna build a cyclone!

I've got a donor Pro-4 sitting here and everything!

Thumbs up

You guys ROCK!!!

Yep, Stormer has the black one, Horizion doesn't carry any. Oh well, guess I'll have to order from Stormer, or see if my LHS has a better way to get them.

Thank you all VERY much.
