Ok guys I need your help, I have been looking at the Cyclone for awhile and I was so put off by the Pro4 when I had one it carried over to this car because the HPI is apart of Hotbodies. I keep hearing that this is probley the best rubber tire car out their next to the 415 Refine, how true is this statement? Should I buy this car? because in the mid west I have yet to see anyone use the Cyclone in rubber carpet racing or asphalt, could someone please set me straight

Im probably not a good reference for the car, cause my past cars were all losi for the most part. But, ive had the car for 3 race weekends and like it pretty well. It reacts well to setup changes, pretty easy to work on, durable too. Only issues I have had were operator error and fixed easily once I pulled my head out of my rear. I bought it cause... it shares a bunch of pro4 parts which made finding spare pretty easy, didnt want an xray or schuie. It is a lil pricy but it comes with the goodies in the box... the special edition car that is... It comes with a full sway bar setup, one way, spool, both locked and one way pulleys, all the blue or purple goodies depending on which kit, etc. I have just really been impressed.

most racers have swapped out the original with the Pro4's.
and there are some that put a drop of blue locktite that will keep it in place.

I have had my Hara cyclone now for about 2 months and have used both a one-way and a spool and there have been no signs of the cvd shafts bending, twisting or wearing.

Spool = 30 runs (mod and 19t)

I have been using the Tamiya Anti-wear grease on all drive train parts (cvds, outdrives, blades)

And to my surprise, and relief, running the spool doesn't seem to wear the outdrives or the cvd shafts (ends or pins).

At this stage, I think the v.2 shafts are holding up very nicely. Much better than the first versions.

Hello Racers! I should get my Cyclone later this week. I would like your help for a good stock rubber carpet set up. I will be racing the Summer Sizzler at S&N Trackside on the 16th. Traction will be medium to medium high. Any help is appreciated.

Snowy.

stegger-unscrew the included threaded spring collar, use your hot solder iron to make a small melt line across the threads, only a little will do. After that they are perfect and you can't see it once its done.
