I'm converting my old T2 009 to a VTA car. I'm curious about gearing. It was my boosted 17.5 car, so I'm certain the ratio is way too slow. I plan to race it on a pretty big outdoor asphalt track. I was running 52/74 on my Pro 4, but that's an old shaft car. The smallest 64p xray spur I find is a 92. I'm concerned a large enough pinion wouldn't allow the motor to fit the mount.(too far apart) Is there a smaller aftermarket spur that would fit the car?

I don't recall the reason, but several months ago there was some issues with parts availability from HPI. At that time the Vintage Tires we use were hard to get even from major suppliers (such as Tower, etc).
However as others have already stated, you shouldn't have any issues getting Vintage Tires/wheels from any major supplier.

during the transition of HPI being sold to HobbiCo, I'm sure the way business is being done has had some changes.
Oval guys are finding it near impossible to find our most popular center shock springs that were HPI (white and flor. Yellows) hopefully they will continue to be made, same w/ the VTA stuff.
