Steve,
We had our two day race in Colorado last weekend, where we ran a demo class for the 1 cell lipo 1/12 scale cars. When we talked at Snowbirds, you said that the GTB 4-cell would work without a booster or receiver pack, but would put power to the servo / esc if voltage got to low.
YOU DA MAN!
The only ESC that did not need anything was the Novak. Had three racers run them, and no problems or issues!
So thanks for the great info and service.
Mark

Paco!
I didn't forget about you! I will get in touch soon!
No problem!
Even though the GTB will run pretty well without the smart boost, for even better servo/radio performance, the smart boost will be the ticket!

Hi Steve,
Bought the Novak 5.5 Velocity Light and as you said, it's smoother.
Now Im happy with the performance with my TC5R. It's less aggressive
than what I was using before but same top speed, it now coasts
smoother and brakes hard when needed.
Now Im waiting for the Ballistic motors from our LHS. Just want to know
if it's the same as Velocity Rs in terms of smoothness or are you guys
making Ballistic Light series?
Thanks man!

The GTB will only run forward/brake in brushed mode.
Removing wires from the negative terminal of the brushed motor only reduces performance and no other wiring combination will yeild reversing capabilities.
