I have peculiar one for you.
my gtb just went up in smoke for no apparent reason.
at least this is what i think anyway.
started by switching on the power to the esc with the
transmitter turned on. by the way i hooked the whole
arrangement to lipo 7.4V batts.
tried to pry out the linkage to the steering servo to
make some adjustments with the servo at neutral
and pssst...pssst...all sorts of colourful lights and
smoke resulted from that incident.
Can it be repaired. Please advice. Have been using the GTB
since new for at least 2 months.

I should also add after this incident, the throttle
did not work the way it used to be. it shuts down frequently
and after turning the pinion or tires on my 2wd truck
it works again but not for long.
tried programming the throttle many times, still would
not work as it normally would. the fan also spins at an
awfully fast rpm.

Sorry about the delay guys... been up at Speedworld doing some testing and haven't had much time to get to the PC
Sorry! The stock profile should be a good place to start... you may need to fool around the with drag brake.... but most people seem happy with where it is set.
If you want a bit more bottom end response you might want to try turning up your minimum drive percentage!
Hmmm... I am not testing one... but Bob might have sent one out to someone...? It's hard to keep track of everything that goes on
Hey Trigger... dunno if your esc is new or od...but the lights *appear* yellow, amber, orange and red because of the wonderful orange case tha the blue, yellow, green, and red LEDs are shining through
Your gtb can be replaced... you definately caused damaged to the ESC through by wrencing on the servo ... most of the newer digital servos have an ability to send high voltage back to the ESC which can damage the ESC if a battery is plugged in. Simply send in your ESC with a note describing what happened and we will get you back up and running.

Hi Tony,
All of the remanufactured ESCs should get re-programmed with the latest production software.
