Impressive, I hope it works as well as it looks. Did you have any issue with there being enough throw in the steering bellcranks or was there enough to get to full lock with the TC7 steering knuckles?

It's still so strange for me to see the TC4 type car with the electronics on the left!

Looking for an old TC4 part for a project car. Part # is ASC 31105. One piece motor mount and bulkhead for Factory Team TC4. If anyone has one they are willing to get rid of please shoot me a PM. I figure some of the old school guys may know someone that has one laying around.

Thanks!

I have one that has a screw broken off in the bottom. These are a rare part and command a fairly high price. I think they are going for about $30 these days.

Going with a 13.5 Speed Passion system in this car.
I thought about the 4600kv sidewinder but I don't think those driveshafts being plastic
in the TC4 Club Racer kit would hold up to the power of that motor.
13.5 might be enough motor.

I used to run mine with the Castle Sidewinder and 5700kv motor running 3S, so the shafts can handle it, though they definitely showed wear more quickly. I did have to upgrade the rear differential to have metal outdrives... the plastic ones melted.

The SP system is probably still the better choice...

I plan on using the 13.5 speed passion.
If all the outdrives are plastic I'll have to upgrade them eventually if I decide to go to
a faster motor. I'll be racing against Apex machines which are like the TC4 but not as raceable as the TC4. And they have TC4 parts on the wall in case I do break something.

Picking up a dremel today to shave off the webbing underneath the spur gear. Where else can be trimmed? I saw the support braces and the battery tray areas. Just unsure of where/what else.

Hopefully picking up a TC5 used this week as well.... Been in the hobby a month and on my way to my 3rd car already lol.

If you don't already have a servo saver on your TC4 servo, now's a good time to install one. You'll have to grind away a little bit of the webbing in front of the servo to make it fit. A medium Kimbrough fits great.

It'll help keep you from breaking steering racks on impacts.

I would skip the tc5. Latest version of the tc6 or the tc7 is a more enjoyable route.
