I have the TCX. The 417 is much better on the track. Probably due to the chassis and how it flexes.

I've tried 0.4 pinions with 64pitch spurs, they mesh but there is a slight difference.

Nice setup sheet (I see- even with thse new cutouts)
BUT - I also see Tamiya is still missing some kind of checkbox whether ball- or gear-diff (incl. diff oil wt) is used.
That's a little bit disapointing since Tamiya now sells their "own" Geardiff.

Is the manual online anywhere?

What's the story with belts on the car, are they different than the 416/416X? It looks like there's a new front belt?

Hi everyone,
I have a question for you, I'm deciding between the 417 and the new Tamiya Yokomo. Qual aconsegariais me as the best of the two chassis for high-level competition?
Thank You

With the spur gears, is it possible to substitute aftermarket one like Kimbrough/PRS, or are you stuck with the metric gearing?

Hey Guys
Just get my 417 today!!!
It's really a small box that just like a upgrade kit...
I saw a stick on the box outside says there will be some ""bonus parts included".
But I can't figure out what is the bonus parts? Is it means the spring set for carpet or some other things that I don't find out???

There are also 1mm thick roll center shims to go along with the .5's.
