I have been waiting for my TC6.1 to arrive. Seems that it has detoured from the last known location which is about 20 minutes away. It is not looking good. Looking at the history of movement. There is a time date stamp for each move and arrival. When the car left the last known location, there was no time stamp - just the date.

"Your Item's Status Your item departed our JERSEY CITY, NJ 07097 sort facility on January 11, 2013."

Five days in limbo. Post Office said if I do not receive by Saturday, I can file a claim.

Is there a performance differece between slipper spool and standard spool? Understand how the slipper spool functions but have not tested one yet in the car. Is it mostly a break-away device to reduce front end drive line damage?

Thanks in advance

You got it right! Feels the same, drives the same, but saves blades, axles and outdrives!

I tried the slipper spool last week only to come off after the first heat. Hated the feel of it. I had never broke a blade or driveline in a year so I went back to ball diff. Mainly hated the front wheel drive feel and the oversteering.

Are you comparing a slipper spool to a ball diff???
The original poster was asking the difference between the slipper spool and a standard spool. I have both and found no noticeable handling difference. Just less blades breaking.

Thank you

Thanks for confirming this as this was my thoughts.

The normal spool is somewhat lighter, too.

The 6.1WC is the latest but if associated sticks to their usual revision schedule, you can bet something new is on the horizon. It may not be till next fall though.:sneaky:

I've been running a 69 tooth spur with a 40 tooth pinion in 21.5 blinky, which is an FDR of 3.45

There are still a few guys faster down the straight, so I just fitted a 60 tooth spur with a 40 tooth pinion, which is an FDR of 3.0, which just fits using the bottom motor screw, but I haven't testing it yet on the track.
