Hello guys,

I had my first race today (LRP-HPI-Challenge, 17,5t-class) with my new TC6. Oh, boy this car is so much easier to handle through qualifyings and finals! This time I could really concentrate on my driving (instead of taming the car = TC5). Unfortunately my setup (and/or my driving) wasn't good enough for a win, but with a fifth overall position, my best yet, I am very satisfied. And I am looking forward to get faster :D
The A-Finalists then showed up at my place to see the car and they all where surprised how well it behaves on track.
I think with this car AE can reestablish their reputation in TC in Germany.

I don't have 90T/48p, but 87T is soo big :) maybe will fit maybe not,
if you put it and it will be working OK, just say, and I move table :)

Regards!

ok,.... as soon as I get of the pondre 90T/48p and see if it is ....
I ask because with the electric motor that I have now, the Mamba 6900KV ... I can not put a smaller pinion than 23 teeth, as the engine hits the sub-frame, would have to look for a motor that has the bevel around the edges to put more towards the crown, otherwise I'll find a crown bigger, jejeje

Forgive my English but it is the google translator ....
later I'll post a picture of where the engine hits, now I have him as a pinion 23 with that of 87T/48p ....

Here you go:

Originally I wanted to copy Kevin Herberts Setup, but TT was too slow, so I had no 6° Caster Blocks. The setup without them and without his custom made pistons was 3tenth slower than this setup which is based on the standard setup. I changed some things to gain more grip and to increase steering (for example rear camber link and front droop).

What I still need is a little more grip in the rear. If the track is not "high grip" the rear is loose.

yep!
i ve done that..BUT i used nail enamel (no color), which actually turned out way better than glue!
hope will last for a while, anyway putting it again would be very easy!:batman:

I am running Keven H halloween setup on my car and it has been great. The only thing I have noticed recently (track change) is on 2 really sharp corners it I go in to fast and try to shove it in there, the car seems to fall on the front a little. Meaning it tends to lift the opposite rear tire slightly and it diffs out when trying to get back on power.

My buddy was having the same problem and has gone to blue springs up front. The lifting has gone away but he said he has a slight push now. We also tried more and less droop without help.

My thought was to maybe add an o-ring on the outside of the front shock to limit up travel, so the car won't fall on it's nose as much. Do you think this will work or is there something else I should be looking at instead.

suffered the same issue with my 17.5 car on a tight carpet track. this is what i changed
Shocks
45wt oil
#3 pistons
gold springs
fwrd arm mount 3b
Rr arm mount 1b
Yes, this is 8 deg of caster!!
i also removed the rear sway bar.
this improved my fast lap by .3 and top 20avg by .2 . Everyones driving style is different so....

Mamba Max

I have two Mamba Motors. What would work best the 5700Kv or the 6900Kv I also have two ESC the Pro and one with green fins. :tire:
