Servo ?

I've got a new Savox sc-1256tg servo. Is this a good servo for my tc6.1 or should I look for something else? What servos and specs are you guys running?

Started my FT build today, shocks went pretty smooth considering this is my first build. Only major issue was getting the collars on, either the collars or the bodies had a ton of burrs. Only one went together 100% smooth on the collar. No biggie, though, just a tiny bit of gummed up anodizing was the only damage, all the collars are smooth all the way up and down once I got past the burrs.

Using the kit oil and kit springs for now with RSD bladders, 1.0/1.0/1.5 pistons and silicone o-rings. Shocks are crazy smooth (as far as I can tell!). I have a RSD tuned spring kit and some 50wt oil but I wanted to try (most of) the kit setup first.

tried rsd bladders and springs yesterday, the shocks are working alot better now, the car is easier to drive, quite a big difference! didnt make me faster on a single lap but made less misstakes over 5 minutes, a really good upgrade to the car!

Is there slop in the wc version? How do I fix it on a regular 6.1?

Vostok 7 10-28-2012 06:58 PM

Can anyone tell me if the turnbuckles are set to different lengths between the FT and the WC? Also if there are any special instructions for the bearing caps?

The manual for the WC isn't up on the AE site yet.

See here:

But it only works very good for medium grip carpet. In high grip conditions a spool/one way is the way to go.

What do you want a gear diff in front for?

I want it to make my car turn in better and to have a planted back end when accelerating. If you fill it with hard oil or even putty it will handle like a soft spool. So why not use a spool? The 3000cst worked best for me on the mentioned track.

If you have the time do some testing with different diff oils. The use of a gear diff also depends on the track layout and the way of your driving style (point to shoot or round flowing).
