I set up my TC6 for VTA with the setup sheet in the back of the manual or kit setup. I copied it exactly even building the diff and shocks the recomended way. The only difference I can think of is that my shock caps are vented. The car was awesome!!

When the car is driving the CVD's dont seem to chatter on mine. Are you hearing/feeling it when actually racing it or just when holding it up and running the throttle while turning?

I am looking at the following spur pinion sizes :

Spur-pinion = drive ratio
81-31 = 5.22
81-30 = 5.40
81-29 = 5.58
81-28 = 5.78

87-33 = 5.27
87-32 = 5.43
87-31 = 5.61
87-30 = 5.8

What combination should I get, any suggestions ?
I am very new to racing and still learning to drive so I am looking at a 5.7 ratio to start with ...

Thanks.
According to the gear chart posted, 76/39 fits, and 76/40 doesn't. That puts the max tooth count at 115. Also, 80/22 fits, but 80/21 doesn't, putting the min tooth count at 102. That means none of the 87T combos will fit in the car, so you'll have to go with the 81T combos. Just get the spur for now, and I can loan you a few pinions to try and figure out what works, since I don't use the ones I have in that range. Then you can just by one and focus on driving.

EDIT: If you can't find the 81T 48P locally, anything down to about a 78 should still work.

Friends watching plus myself can see front end shake in the middle of turns. Entry and exit seems to be ok? ordered reflex cardan axles in hopes to cure issues today. Venting shocks is this a must do trick? Thanks for the responce!

Can someone verify it though? Don't take this to be gospel just yet, he had it in the back and said it was from a 22. From the pics the 22 strap looks too short. Spektrum makes long ones also(found on Amain)
I use some straps from Family Dollar store on all my TC6's and 6.1's...and they work great and only $1...Ive never had a battery come out either..even in VTA

Thanks Rick. I was about to say WTH and give it a shot lol! I haven't tried kick up on a sedan in almost 10 years. My TC3 may have been the last time I tried that.

We actually have tried it on the front. And rear too sometimes. Bob S. used front kick up at the ROAR Nationals.

Took the plunge and ordered the FT on sale at the AE site. Can't wait

I think I'm only going to do a partial conversion to the WC, maybe use a different chassis, but at the very least I'm going to do the WC vertical ballstud caps and towers. I couldn't beat the $150 difference.
