are the bottom suspention arms bolted on to the bulkheads with new "mounts"? or are they the same tc5 ones with a pile of spacers behined them to push it out to 190mm ?

That is very strange because I know for a fact that the bulkhead thread (or not threaded) was fed back to Associated by one of the team drivers... because I lent him the tap to fix it.

The biggest problem I've found so far is not having enough of certain screw or too many of a certain screw. Not a problem for me has I have a good few dozen spares of various types. I'm installing the electrics now.

Update: Build is now done, car can be driven now just need to do final setup.

I noticed when I had it on the Hudy station that the slop in the links is much more reduced compared to the TC5. The car is now ready for a few runs, should be interesting. It's mostly kit setup except for 1 compound harder in springs and I went with 2 degrees of negative camber all around.

@Scooter79rs: can you please post a list of the number and size of the different ballbearings. Thank you very much :)

The ball bearings sizes and hardware are all listed in the manual if you have one.
I am pretty sure they are the same as the TC5.

how comes guys that all of you are missing something in their kit?
this happen because it is an early release?

i m getting worryed because i m thinking to buy this car in december...but so far it does not look a great deal, even because i do not own a tc5 to undress!

wtcc 11-11-2010 02:22 PM

I never said I am missing something. It is just, that I dont want to wait to get my ceramic bearings from acer. But they didnt receive a kit yet, so they ask around. My kit comes not before monday. So I am asking the guys who already have one for a list of bearings...

Also interesting because I had the exact same problem with my TC5 when they were first released. :weird:

Isn't it funny how Team Associated is suppose to be a American company and will be the last country to recieve the TC6, it was a good thing they postpone until Dec because there would be no telling how many parts would be missing if it release in Oct and they still got wrong

The only different bearings is the spur gear bearings, all other bearings are the same as TC5. The spur gear bearings are flanged. If I was bothered to I would've stripped my TC5 for its ceramics.

I ended up having to use one of my spare axel stubbs as I couldn't get the wheel hex pin through one of the kit ones.

I dont care what kit you buy and where from there is always something different and wrong about the kit... its a hobby and thats just it. They make millions upon millions of parts and pack them in little bags there is bound to be something wrong with the kit as a whole or the company would have to hire millions of ppl to make the demand of how many kits need to go out for the day to make it 100% perfect. everyone cracks up when we pay the price for the kits now... I think its a great trade off to have a couple things wrong with each kit to keep the hobby where it is today.
