Ive been racing Can-Am GT since the release of the motors, yes they are slow and do not have the straight speed the normal 21.5's do but i do not think it is bad.

Zer03,
Thanks for the response. Is the racing closer? How is the power off of the corners (I found the Can Am Stock TC to have A LOT of punch off of the corners).

i ran my Venom body 7.2 last weekend. Seemed ok for my skill level. Got it cheap so had to try it. Was doing ok till the 1up DTC started losing screws. Makes for wobbly rear toe.

Just finished cutting and painting my Usgt Rtek body, and it only weighed 82grams versus the 112gram Cadillac body.....That's 30grams less mounted way down(three holes down) from the Caddy's position....I guess my traction rolling days are over now : Good job Exotek !!!!

I believe the racing is closer. I just finished up running at the Canadian Nats, It was open motor for USGT. I ended up running an r1 v21, ending up finishing 4th in the A. Hot laps were close but run times were more spread apart than if we would have ran canam (my opinion). We also ran cam am TC and it all came down to the tenths. One or two tenths was good for a couple spots on the grid. So to answer your question again yes can am is a lot closer racing. Yes the speed isn’t there but I race because I like good racing no matter the speed.

And yes the can am TC stock has a ton of punch out of the corners. I found when I turned up the drive frequency on my speedo it really helped.

I'm new to USGT, been out if the hobby for awhile. I see there's official USGT tires but I can't find them in stock anywhere. Part # GRC125. I want to avoid the premounted sets since I want to run my own wheels. Anyone know why these are hard to find if they're the official tire?

Their hard to find because they dont last long and are in high demand. They show up in waves when you see them you buy them.

Default Stormer has pre-mounts

I prefer to glue my own as well. I went looking at the places I normally get my unmounted tires and those 3 or 4 are out of stock. However, Stormer Hobbies has premounts.

I also prefer gluing my own, that way I can choose a cool wheel that I like and not have the same wheel as everybody else

thanks, but those look to be chinese clones, so it may look the part, but the quality may not match. Has anyone compared the tires/materials side by side and in use?

Ummm - don't think so. Bought several sets from RCMart - Gravity gets them from Ride and charges you more.
