Just the crazy spoiler puts it out. Not to mention, what real car is supposed to resemble?

Nothing USGT about that body in my book. Looks like a 1/12 pan car or 1/8 nitro on road type body.

Been out of TC for awhile but considering getting into GT. Is there a preferred tire being used ?? I know X Patterns real well but I remember many folks screaming about the cost and erratic availability. Thanks !

I hope not. Just run it in touring car where it belongs with those ugly dish wheels.

That goes on a 200 mm pan car for World GT (WGT), not USGT.

No, but I think this is a common issue with everyone now. Our local club is hoping our RD allows the use of a spec tire (like the Solaris Hard we have in our Blinky class). The HPI D-compounds don't cut it, and the Advan 24 mm tires aren't stocked locally. It seems our USGT class might move away from the treaded tire rule temporarily until Hobbico can rectify the HPI belted tire shortage issues.

Getting ready to fire up the airbrush this weekend on the new ProtoForm Camaro ZL1 body! Looks cool without any paint on it at all! The rear spoiler is unique. I like it! My son and I might have to fight over who gets to run it.

I really liked mine! It handled pretty well, too. Not sure if it handled better than my 190mm BMW (HPI), but it was darn close. I would've kept running it had someone not made me an offer I couldn't refuse after the last race day. Now I have no USGT car to play with.

Looking forward to see what you do with it!

Here's the new Protoform Camaro ZL1 body. I really like it! I went for a simple airbrush job. Bright metallic orange and black accents. This one is sitting on an Associated TC6.

Note that I've got 3mm offset wheels mounted in the photo. So, I'd either have to trim the body more around the wheel wells or go with standard 0mm offsets.

Looking forward to getting it on the track!

Thumbs up

Looks good Indy. This has motivated me to get mine mounted. I have it painted, just not mounted on the car yet. Pics to come soon.

Looks great, Indy! Are you sure you'd need 0mm offset wheels? I raced 3mm offset on my TC6 and it worked out great with no rubbing. I was running the stock hexes, IIRC, and the body was also pretty darn low. I think you'll be fine with them, personally. But I do believe I opened up the fenders just a hair, primarily to allow for the steering throw.

I was running a fair bit of toe-in in the rear so I trimmed the rear openings a bit more for aesthetics, but in this pic the front was how I raced it.
