I ran my Spec R gear diff in mod for the first time this weekend. The diff held up fine but it was hard on the drive train with a spool in the front. I stripped a couple of belts and then went so far as stripping one of my center pulleys in the main.

Hi Itchynads, i used the "X-ring" now and no leak so far. Last build was 1 month ago with 130,000 oil. Got it from Kshobby website. I play 7 days a week with at least 4 LIPO pack, running MOD with LRP 4 Turn brushless. with weather condition 32-34c degree. I agreed with you that it will be nice, if they were to release a rubber gasket.

You are running thicker oil so I'm not suprised it does not leak .
I'm running 1000cst in the rear which is more runny.

i'd like to know too. these shims are the weak link of this diff, they mushroom very badly over time in 10.5t and mod

I've changed to a slightly bigger (outer diameter) shims, if not wrong 4 x 10 x 0.2mm..... check out Hong Nor's buggy shims.
