hi guys.
i just been hunting around for a pretty cheap TC so i can get back into it (ignore my sig, i dont have an xray t1r no more)
i came accross this on another forum i go on, i wondered if you guys thought it was a good buy
Team losi g+ for sale it has
2 chassis
Titaniam screws
Titaniam drive shafts
Alll the springs
20 wishbones
20 hubs
10 c hubs
spur gears
belts
1 way diff
diff
shock towers
Titaniam hing pins
Alfa body shell
all in mint condition only 4 £100 (GBP)
imo, it is very very very cheap, as G+ chassis' gof or £100 alone over here.
so do you think i should go for it, and get it?
Thanks
Matt

how much is that in USD?
That's about $180 U.S. dollars. If it's all in mint condition as he says, then it's a heck of a good deal.

$180 for all that? Go for it. And yes, get the black belt, it's worth the money
interesting so basically all your doing for a spool is looking the fron diff????
Yeah, it's just a solid axle. Not sure why it's called a spool - calling it a solid axle would eliminate some confusion. Because a spool is a very simple design, they're lighter than diffs or one-ways, so acceleration is improved.
just waiting for the guy to reply with his paypal address...wooooohooooooo
i think some people call them spools because some companies started calling them spools, while other companies called tehm solid axles.
but everyone knows what we are on about when peeps say spool

Hey Mantis,
I just recently built a XXX-s and ran into the same problem. It seems i didn't have my belt tensioner snapped completly onto the bearing/bushing and i may have had one of my diffs in backwards. Once i changed both of those things, my belt never wandered.

Foam tire asphalt setup?
Hey Losi experts,
My local track is planning a big (or bigger than usual) on-road race. This is a large asphalt track, and most all of the classes are set to be foam tires. Does anyone have a good foam/asphalt set up? Would the foam/carpet setups on Losi's page be a good starting point? How about tires? Jaco Purple/Plaids acceptable? Thanks for helping out a foam newbie.

Actually, it's best if your belt wanders a little bit when your drive train is spinning...
if it's stead fast against one side that means that it's more than likely binding against the retaining wall of the pulley and causing more drag in your drive train...

is it a waste of time to cut(every other tooth) on your yellow belt .
and just buy the black belt kit ? ..

Yeah, I'd say it's easier to get the black belt right than it is to cut the yellow belt
