Please help a Losi rookie: If I was given a Losi xxx-s touring edition, what would it take to get the car competitive? Besides electronics, motors, batteries, and tires-all of which i already have. Thanks!

The car should be pretty competitive as is, depending on what level you're racing at. The first thing I'd get though are some threaded shock bodies and get a full set of springs, pistons and oils. Maybe pick up some different rear hub carriers in different angles and different castor blocks. All for tuning options. Ti turnbuckles and hingepins are a good idea as well.

oneway is a big yes, as long as you know how to drive one. I've been "teaching" myself to drive one for a couple of months. I'm begining to get faster than I was before the oneway. But at first, it slowed me down quite a bit. I was more of a drive into the corner, brake, turn, and gas it kind of driver. I've had to learn a lot more finess.

JKERR- I agree, if you can drive/tune a one-way car it will be faster on EVERY TRACK, be it tight or open.... with very few exceptions.....

have no fear my son.....Daddy will still be at the track to help you out. Put the set up that I posted on here on the car for next weekend. It's waaaaaaay dialed. All you'll need is the motor to hang and you'll be in the A-main. 1-6 yesterday was only one second. Don't blink or you'll be in the B-main. Racing was that tight. That goes down as one of the best races for me. Poor Jaime became my latest victim on the straightaway I'll be there for practice on Friday if you need any other help.

jkerr0043- I hope to have the new car no later than the first week of Jan. It works out great for me since I was planning on taking a small break after the regionals anyway.

I know Don. Tell him that the tall guy from Ripon says hello. He should know who you're talking about.
