What are the part numbers for the threaded shock bodies and how much do they sell for?
Also what about the Trinity shock collars, part number and price?
I read on Trinity Tech Talk in the ask Todd Hodge section that Losi was coming out with a shock front shock kit (bodies and shafts) is this true? Thanks

mike you mean short....bodys and shafts....yes that is what i heard.also the bodys are 20 bucks and are the same as the street weapon....8 bucks on the trinity parts.....tsr...that would be a good choice....

I bet the superglue/Dremel man in question to be Todd Lewis?
As for his intention with that mod, all it would do would be to lower the rear roll center. I think that the options that Losi gives are pretty much within the range that you should ever need, and the Low Roll center arm mounts will do nearly the same thing if you are looking for more rear traction.

I have broken 3 arm's......... 2 front, one rear
not counting the damage from the crash... ( girl watching )
the belt broke!!!!........ with a stock motor
I have had to rebuild 3 of the four shocks now........
it is just JUNK!!!!!!!
now my TC3 I have never broken any thing....... I have crashed it harder then the losi....
Now I have been a losi man for many years now...... but this is the first losi kit I am not happy with at all.......
even the kit it self, was bad.........
missing screws, broken o-rings, a lot of flashing to clean of the parts, a bad bearing...............

Sorry to say it Wolvy, but you must be doing something wrong...! 
I've put the car through hellish crashes under race conditions and have not broken a thing. I'm not sure how the belt could break, unless it was too tight on the tensioner or had a manufacturing flaw.
As far as the speed, there's no way anybody can say the car is slower than its counterparts. My XXX-S has just as much straightaway speed as any other TC out there, including my Yokomo that I raced for 6 months. The cars regularly compete (if not beat) the fastest TC3s, Yokomos, Tamiyas and others at the tracks around here. If the car is slow, there's something wrong with it.
My first thought would be to make sure the diffs have not loosened up -- sometimes the Losi diffs, even when freshly rebuilt, will loosen up really quickly. Also, make sure none of the CVDs are bent or rubbing on the hub carriers, and make sure the suspension is not binding anywhere.
Anyway, not saying that the XXX-S is the best car out there or anything, just saying that it seems like you're having slightly atypical results from the rest of us. If you have any more specific questions I'd be happy to try and help...

Yeah, the belt breaking surprises me. I have only heard of one breaking. I have hit pretty hard too... me & skip figured we would make a strightaway during practice a couple times. It survived that, and another pretty good slap during a heat, which only pop-ed a ballcup.

futureal: Have you considered/tried mounting the threaded shocks from your Yokomo on the Losi? I have a spare set of Yokomo threaded shocks, and I wonder if they would fit. I've been considering the Losi car for some indoor racing. If the Yokomo shocks will work, that's one less expense for me and one more pro for buying the XXX-S. Thanks

I was very impressed with the car and it was the same setup as the one on the Losi site of Andrew Gray ( carpet with foams ). The car was easier to drive and very smooth. If you run foams, make sure to use the TC3 wheel hexes because they do not let the wheels rub any where because they are slightly wider.
I ordered some springs, pistons, and castor blocks to try. Right now the car is bone stock, but I will probably get the threaded shock bodies when they come out. I also would like a set of composite CVD's if they ever make any. What I really want to try is sway bars.
