Yes, that's right, I forgot, even the multidiff. works well with 44mm DCJ, only it's a bit heavier than the standard spool, Spec-R spool and the multidiff are same weighs , but the operation of Spec-R spool is even smoother, even if the blades wear out quickly...

Default Front spool / axle chatter

Hey guys,

Am getting a lot of chatter in the front, would welcome any suggestions to get rid of it.

My TCX has Roche spool & yokomo 45.5mm driveshafts / TCX axles.

Should I go back to standard spool & steel 46mm exotec drive shafts?

Am running the car in mod BL 4.0T

Thanks

DCJ will eliminate most of the chatter. Has to be run with multidiff, spec r gear diff, or use hb long axle cups. Or you can run less steering lock and try to compensate with tuning the front end of the car.

Steel pin against steel outdrives will always cause chatter l'm afraid.

The POM outdrives should improve the situation a little. Though chatter isn't always a bad thing, especially in modified, helps slow the car down

When using the CVD 46mm steel HB originals, eliminating the screw pins and using the pin cover, the chattering decrease more, if using the new POM out drive decrease further, but for MOD, I prefer the standard steel out drives with steel CVD, this combo is very durable.
