Alonso, how did the 78t spur fit, did you have to shave the top deck?

F. Alonso 02-26-2005 12:54 PM

Just got the stuff on Friday and haven't looked at it for my Evo IV yet. Will let you know though.

I tried the 78 but the spur was a little outside of the buttom of the chassis. 77 is just nice. U do need to chamfer the upper deck a little else it will scrape the upper deck.

Yeh, still yet to try it out as I've just been flat out. I may be moving away from the Evo IV fraternity though but I won't be a traitor like Hebiki!!!   I will probably get a 415MS because for Modified its a much better chassis then the Evo IV. The Evo IV seems to be too stiff and doesn't quite have the consistentcy that the 415MS is. Also helps when you can get one for a good price. :D :D :D

I bought my EVOIV from WYD and some of the suspension mounts have a 1 on them like 1A, 1B, etc... What does this mean?

Windtalkers 02-27-2005 11:03 AM

Today at the local race, I had my worst nitemare. Any1 ever encountered these problems b4??

1) Stripped spur gears (I stripped 4 new ones)
2) Stripped bevel gear (3 pcs, front ones. amazing the big one still intact)
3) The rear keep swinging (no problem using spool but problem occurred using one way. What's the droop setting should be used?)

Thanks for the help.

Appreciate it.

this is what it look like with Jaco 28mm rim, note these tires have been run yet so there is just a little bit of foam material overlapping the rim

using the A/C blocks put dead on 190mm, if you need to go narrower, use the world kit blocks

ball cups rubbin' against the rim will not be a problem:D

I'm sorry for those people who didn't see my earlier post, you will need to buy the Sqaure STB-35B steering arms, the kit come hardware do not DISCARD:eek: you will need them. installed the flange tube on the bottom half of the castor from the top, place shim on top of flange tube and there you go LW suspension ridin' on foams

the only people who have this item is champ: http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/ good luck

patrick 02-28-2005 08:41 AM

groffball-that means they are 415 blocks, which will sit the arms lower on the chassis. I have them on my evo4, works good.

Diff. shim adjustment question

Got a question...

On the instruction (step 3) it says to put (3) 10x.03mm shims on the left side of the rear diff. and (1) 10x.1mm shim on the right side...but with this - there's still alot of play! IS it ok to put an extra 10x.03mm shim on the left side of the diff.? I did that and the play was almost gone but I noticed that the diff unit is not as center ... as least as much as I like it to be...

Thx.
