Haha, I was thinking the same thing. Just like Hebiki said, stop stressing over what car to buy. You have been all over the place, R3, Mi2, etc., etc.. Pick one car, then peeps can help you on setups and stuff. This is a hobby, enjoy it man.

im glad to know that the evo 4 seems to be a better car from some of your observations.....its a pretty expensive kit but i guess the cheap parts and the great performance makes it every worth the 400$++ it cost. hebiki, update us on the shoot out between you and ur pro 4 racing pal.

Hey guys, I just want to let you know I just received my parts today. It only took 1 week to get my parts from Japan  That is super FAST!!! Overall, I had a very pleasant experience buying stuff from him. So, yes, I'd buy stuff from him again.

I agree he ships the parts quickly but there is something wrong with him.

I had to get a friend to buy the blue covers from him because the idiot banned me from bidding on his auctions for no reason after I bought a 415 kit from him back in March and left positive feedback for him.

He will not tell me why, he just threatens.

Anyway the car looks cool, now all that's needed is blue carbon and for Hitec to make a matching blue receiver and servo.

I have to order some of those trick clear diff cases. They will be really cool to be able to see the gears.

Turbonium 12-02-2004 11:12 AM

i got a couple sets of those.. the trickest part about it are the drive cups, servo mounts and steering post spacers! i dont even use the diff covers, anyway.

you have any setup tips for carpet, or have you run yours enough yet?

I didn't run mine on carpet yet. Won't be for a few weeks. More than likely not til after Xmas at the earliest.

The clear stuff is way cool. I saw on Ebay Stella Models has the alum. drive cups and the alum rear hubs in stock. Thinking of ordering them.

Turbonium 12-02-2004 11:47 AM

i see...

im taking mine up to the Novak race, along with 415 and Pro 4. we dont have a carpet track closer than 3+ hours, so im gonna need all the help i can get!

wyd 12-02-2004 12:15 PM

PM your email address and I will email the setup a local fast guy gave me for the EVO IV. He ran it with the setup he gave me and was fast enough to TQ and beat Joel Johnson a few weeks back. He also beat Jeff CUffs who just made the A at Cleveland this year in stock touring.

You running a GT3 type class with those Mabuchi type motors. I know our track is setting up what they will call a house class. Any car with stock Mabuchi motors and Tamiya type A rubber tires. Any body is also ok. Doing this to help with saving a little bit of money for the guys who don't have enough to run open stock with foam tires on the asphalt.
