Your'e getting an EvoIv Marc?
Are you required to run Tamiya cars by someone or somthing? If the car truly is better it'd be cool seeing you beat John on a routine basis...lol j/k |
I have heard today there will be 2 or 3 EVO IV at a qualification race for the German Champs this weekend.
But maybe that wonīt tell anything as the weather forecast isnīt very good for tomorrow. If there are any news I will post on monday. |
Awesome, let us know what happens. I'm very curious to hear peoples opinions on this new chassis, and also how it stacks up compared to other PRO kits, mainly the TRF415.

A certain someone built their Evo4 at the track yesterday. It went together very well and quickly. At the end of the day, there was an rtr chassis ready to go...but the transmitter was left at home :p

Be sure Iīm as curious as you how the new chassis goes. But as I was not at that race I have to wait for informations. But I will post as soon as the news get in. But canīt say when this will be.
Got a short message from Alan now regarding the new suspension on the 415 which is the same as the EVO IV. He tried both the old and the new suspension and then said the car was a little quicker and a lot smoother with the new one. Also sems to carry a little more corner speed. But there were also two problems. One is the bottom screw into the front upright is a little short in the kit and one pulled out in a crash. So should be replaced by a longer one. The other thing is some wheels are rubbing on the front arms even with 2mm spacers. Maybe this is because of the new shorter wheelaxles. |

Just got the message an EVO IV did win right at the first race meeting. It was a qualification race for the German nationals. Driver was Marc Fischer, one of the German guys who attended the Reedy Race at the Tamiya track.

Iīm still waiting for more informations about the EVO IV used at the last weekend. It seems some of the guys got their kits too late so they didnīt finish in time for the race.
But beside winning this race there were two new track records using the EVO IV. Fastest laptime was 0.4 sec faster than before and also fastest heat ever on this track. |
