415MS:Dvery happy with the car to date ...but I must admit, the new belted Yok sure looks nice:sweat:

John, like I told you this morning...stick with the 415MS, tune the living daylights out of it and drive it 100%...while others like to be chassis wh*res (coughchrislimcough:D  ) if you can just get the most out of the 415, you'll be fine.

ouch....
congrats at the TCS gary... now you have a shiny new Evo IV?

RCGaryK 03-03-2005 09:16 PM

Thanks dude, it was really cool to 3-pete TQ and 2-Time win the class. I would have gotten 3rd in GT1 too but I hit a dot with like a minute to go and rolled it....Oh well, there's always Cinci ;)

Yeah, they gave the winners of GT1, 2, and 3 Evo 4's. Just need to decide if I am going to build it or part it out...There's a lot of stuff there that can transfer over to my TB and my TA....Hmmmmm

I epoxied the spur gear holder to the rear input shaft though this sounds alittle extreme it does wonders to the drive train making it more rigid and slop free

u may try to use some teflon tape to do the job...

What are the major spares that I need for this car. I'm planning on pre-ordering the MS version of the kit and I don't want to get caught short handed when it comes to spare parts. I'm assuming that I need to get a couple of extra arms and steering knuckles, what are the other major areas I need to address so I'm not caught short handed for the racing season?

I need help guys

i cant seem to get the rear end of my car to stay planted!
ill be trying a few new things tommorrow but other than that im pretty much stuck for ideas! i race on a very low bite asphalt track which is medium size.
heres a basic layout of my setup
Front
40wt AE shock oil
1 deg toe out
- 0.5 camber
4 deg caster
shocks postioned upright (2nd highest hole on the tower)
front one way
front droop (guessing) 1-2mm
front ride height 5.5mm
and upper arm/camber link position is kit setting.
take off 27's

Rear
40wt AE shock oil
2 deg toe in (A+C)
- 2 deg camber
shocks positioned inwards (2nd lowest hole on tower)
rear ball diff seems abit loose! ( did tighten it the night before i hit the track so i guess i might have to use locktite on that small nylon nut)
rear droop (guesssing) 1-2 mm
rear ride height 5-5.5mm
and camber link position is kit settings
take off 27's as well

also i would like to ask can i use take off 32's at the front and 27's at the rears? a guy at the track told me not to do this as i did this for nitros when ever i was in trouble! :p quick fix i must say!

ill be mainly tinkering with front toe adj, rear camber link positionings, lenghts, and angle, rear toe in (back to kit setting of 3 deg) and build 2 extra front shocks with 70wt oil to see if this helps.

Also!!! can someone teach me how to make the car roll more into the corners as i have seen F.Alonso's car racing in mod with this setup, he did this to counter the low bite situation at our local club.

all help is appreciated :p sorry for such a lengthy read!

Cheers

:tire:
