they keep on telling me I'm cheating with my BD in 17.5 TC and it's been banned from the BRL oval series. must be something..

speaking of has anybody messed with the freq settings Per told me but I was Europe so I lost something in translation... you have options of 1kHz 2 4 8 and 16 one way was better for stock and another was better for mod. this setting is on the beta software

There is no way your two speed turbo speedo is legal! That thing has turbo on it and shifts gears!

Are you in a blinky class? if so then profile 1 should be legal.

Not sure about the difference for Mod, but I have found that 2-4KHz is good on tight carpet tracks where grunt is more important than top speed, but outdoors on big tracks where the straights are a lot longer, using 8KHz seems to free the car up a little near top speed at the slight expense of low end grunt.

Having spoke to Per, he said that 16KHz seems to be favoured by some of the off-road guys using slipper clutches etc. Didn't seem to make any difference on TC's.

P.S. The original v2.01 firmware had a fixed drive frequency of 8KHz

If profile 1 is selected you have a non timing profile and this is indicated with a blinking led. Our ESC are approved by ROAR and has been measured and confirmed by several that it's legal and ok to use.
I see no reason why it should be banned?

We like to aggravate him about how fast it is. I havent checked it myself but a few locals are known to play around in our club racing sometimes.

The speedo has been banned by the BRL oval racing league due to its cost. Their maximum for a speedo in some classes is 250.00 I think.

Hi, What firmware have you got on the speedo, also what make of motor are running.

How wide is the track and how many corners would typically have?

I have the 2.0 firmware i think its not the one thats out now but the one rite before that....im running a schuur speed 17.5 ....the track has a different layout everyweek but its approx 70 x 30 and theres always a full 60 foot straight......thanks

I would run profile 5 and a fdr of around 6.5 to 6.7. on firmware 2.0 and 2.1 profile 5 equals 40 degrees of timing.

I would personally send the speedo off to Per at advanced electronics and ask for the latest software release and the pc to speedo programming tool.

Ok thanks ...ya i will eventually send it off its just a bit of a pain for me ...and the 2.0or 2.1 software is working fine for me.
