Get ahold of E.J. and try a Redline motor. I ran a 10/1 of his at the regionals last year and it was plenty fast.

Tire & motor questions

Hi all, wonder if you can help with some of the following questions:

1. What size front and rear should I true the tires to for racing?

2. I usually use purple front and grey rear. What will happen if I use magenta fronts?

3. I will be running 19T motor. I have the Chameleon and Reed Quad mag. Which one would be better and what roll-out/gear ratio should I start at?

Thanks a bunch.

Thanks Matt, I'll try that, who am I to question the the reigning region 12 12th mod champ;) I do have to admit - damn it was fast.

How you doing over there? Still clinging on to sanity?

Chris.

Track width problems

I am having trouble getting my car down to the correct width per roar and cleveland guidlines.

I went back to Jaco Tire from Trc tire and offset seems different.

The car is too wide with jaco tires?? I am running irs lower pod plates and stock 12l3 lower plate (crc tforce chassis etc). I am running an axle that I had out of my reflex 12 big d rings.

I thought it was the axle but I pulled a irs axle off the self at my local hobby shop and it was the same.

Are the black trinity hubs different in offset from standard irs hubs?

And I took all the shims out of the rear and still too wide.

Help??

Jamie

I know this was asked before, someplace...

But what is the Airtronics servo that alot of people use in 1/12th scale racing? I misplaced the model number. Anyone here know?

Does anyone run a ascuri body and use a tracks transponder system? This track I have to go to doesn't allow PT's and my car is best with a ascusri. and I am not sure where is the best way to mount it.

no the trinity black hubs are from IRS and are the same as the rest. the problem is the jaco rim has no offset. the only thing you can do is narrow up the jaco rears or switch back to the trc's or I belive parma,s new tires are offset

alot of guys stand the reciever up behind the servo. you might have to turn the shock mount on sideways to do so. this leaves a side open for the transponeder you can either make a mount for it or put a hole in the body and clip it to it.

Stock Ratio

Guys,

What is a decent brush setup and ratio for stock(Trinity Monster) on an open 95X45 track?

My current setup is shaved 4499s green springs with the Trinity Monster Stock geared 98/30 with 1.90 tires, roll out seems to be 1.83.

Am I off? And how do I check the motor to get the most out of it? It only draws about 4amps at 4 volts.

Thanks.
