TRC Foams on a 12L4

First 12th so be gentle. Having trouble mounting TRC 12th foams on my 12L4. Front too much slop after inserting bearings and e-clips and rear supplied screws are too short. Now I know I can jimmy around each problem with shims on the front and longer hardware on the rear but I wanted to see if anyone else has run into the same problem as me. Any input is appreciated!!!!

Thanks,
Kevin

Regards dumping-try not to use full throttle be as smooth as possable,if you can stick a peice of foam on your throttle forward end point so you don't be tempted to use full power.

(I need to practse what i preach)

My Q
What mod motors do you find go well with 12th-im just about to start the u.k nationals & need to buy some new motors. But not sure what to buy...;)

TRC front wheels require you to use a flanged bearing. Like this:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXD078&P=7

Not sure if this is right size, I rememer them being 1/8x1/4 but it might be 5/16. Anyway, same size as the book says, just with the flange.

The Reedy PT is a good choice. I've run a friends pt 10x2 and it was insane.

ALBERTO - Adjust the current limiter on your esc so it's not as punchy and you'll gain a little runtime. Also being smooth and not hitting anything in 1/12th goes a long way, every wall tap spikes your batteries(amp draw goes way up) and takes away runtime.

Gary Fliegel - Track size?

Any good tips to get tires online, decent price and in stock?

Thanks.

From what I have been told, 50' x 24' It may be a bit larger.

That's a small track. Maybe around a 30mm rollout for stock and a 25mm for mod. Just guessing, I could be way off. My local track is 96'x52' and we run about a 40mm rollout for stock(MS geared a few mm higher then BS) and around a 35mm for mod(so many factors in mod though).

Receiver cells

I was just wondering if there is any interest in a shorter lighter receiver cell than the 1/4aaa's that we're running now?

The new cells would be 11mm long and have about 80 mAh. They would weigh 10-20% less than what we're running now.

The cost would be about the same as what we have now.
