Geppetto - I just bought a 1/12th Hudy arbor at The Track on saturday. I'm not sure if she had any more...

DavidL- I have been pretty good at breaking the old ones, but maybe Big Boys Toys doesnt have hard enough boards, lol (or I might not be trying hard enough when I hit the boards). Anyway I can defently believe that the new ones can break, I am just hoping I dont expeariance it, lol.

Bob-- Never said you were slow. In fact for someone who has been doing this for a year your pretty fast. Also, if you talk to Tim have him call me. I can't get a hold of him.

speedxl--I mounted my damper tubes so that they are stright across on the Quad 12. You should do this with a T plate as they need to dampen sids to side movement. By mounting them on an angle you slightly prohibit that.

Can anyone help me with my motor? I have a monster stock, and I am havign some efficeincy (spelling) problems. It is drawing serious amps for 1/12 (8-9 at 4 volts). Right now I have reedy 767's that are full face, no cuts or anything and green springs all around. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Try drilling a hole in the face, or cutting a vertical slot into them.

when was the last time you cut your comm? light springs on a not-round comm will kill efficiency as the brushes skip.

I'd also suggest running putnam brushes on an epic motor.

Jeeeeezzzzzzzz Adam , I was joking with you buddy ! When we gonna run together again ? CRL Toledo ? Man I been getting way to little sleep the past week , and Cleveland is gonna be more of the same! Just drunk 24 /7 hahaha.
Tim was here most of the night , I'll tell him tomorrow to call you before we leave , He's getting burnt out so expect a switch back to TC for him if he doesn't take some time off from racing first .

"old and slow" Bob

If you look on event coverage at the front of rctech and look on the haloween classic you'll find some pictures of the Reflex12, I think it page 7 or something like that.

1/12th Arbor

Mike D: You're kidding!?!? Hopefully Mimi has another, or can get one soon. BTW, did you tell me on Saturday that you bought an Ofna tire lathe?

If you drill a hole in teh center of the brush it will actually suck itself to the comm. It's it great for lowend power but you loose top end and increase amp draw. The best seems to be a 4504 brush with the trailing edge removed.

Storm: The new SM damper tubes are more "crash-resistant" rather than "crash-proof". Arguing semantics on yhe internet is sooooo much fun!!! ( I understood what you meant the first time)
