maybe for people to use them you would have to produce the original amb. Just a thought.

The last part is Why Terry puts the # and Name on it and he will only put your name First or Last he will not put your signon or logon name unless it a Hobby store or the likes

I could really care less about the i-pt, but I can see the potential for disaster. I prefer AMB's, I've never had a problem with mine, the only problem I have ever seen with one was easily fixed with a reciver capacitor or reciver pack as stated above. Don't the AMB PT's have an individual FCC # attached to them? Who knows, the FCC could put the kybosh on these i-pt's as well, we all know how sketchy Federal agencys are now, who's to say they dont shut down the cloneing of these things.

It's not paranoia when the really ARE out to get you...

I'm over them--they're someone else's problem

Sigearhead 05-17-2007 06:50 AM

does someone know the answer to my question?
Or, maybe I should go to the AMB i-pt thread, maybe they're talking about 1/12 scales there.

Jaco yellow is just that; two stage. Jaco is currently the only one to make a two stage tire. If I remember correctly it is either a little harder or a little softer then a gray

I think they're watching us. I'm going to have to start wearing my tinfoil hat again

Won't help...their signal strength is stronger. :sneaky: It'll blow through 14ga stainless, tinfoil doesn't stand a chance.

Big B 05-17-2007 09:41 AM

I'm paranoid, you are the one who is worried that a bunch of people will show up at the same race, in the same class, with the same cloned PT #, so much so you contacted ROAR. Yeah I'm the paranoid one.

odpurple 05-17-2007 10:07 AM

Not to drag this out, but I never contacted ROAR, Scottrick did. I was directing the paranoid comment more at him, he's a friend and knows when I'm kidding ;) Now if you'll excuse me I have to go make a thicker tinfoil hat

You could always just strap a wok to your head... (nasa's faster/cheaper moto..)

CarlosG. 05-17-2007 10:34 AM

You might want to make it out of lead then line it with thin foil. :D

I already have a couple pounds of solder wrapped around my noggin

EASY BigB, EASY...

I wan't paranoid so much as I wanted to see the POTENTIAL for problem nipped in the bud before someone is forced to make a decision "on the ground". ROAR reacted appropriately and now there is a procedure.

As OD said, he was really poking fun at me--it just happened to be below your comment that agreed, in part, with the potential for concern.

We still love ya big guy! Honest. (shh guys...don't talk about him 'til he's gone...)

Making you an official California Hazardous Waste site.

Now where's my flux and butane torch... I'll stick that damn tinfoil helmet to his noodle PERMANENTLY!

BTW...17th Annual Magic City Classic is THIS weekend. We're rolling out the track tonight, practice all day tomorrow (Friday), heats on Sat, lcq and mains on Sunday. We're anticipating a lighter than usual turnout as we were (unfortunately) kicked back two months from our usual dates. Ah well, Mitch Witteman will be here to show us the way REAL drivers run 1/12. I'll get lapped four times...
