Basically, it's the power of a 3 cell Nimh with the weight of a 2 cell Nimh. I encased the lipo pack with Team Associated chassis protection film to prevent denting this pack.
I'm just waiting for my Novak Servo regulator to arrive so I can attach a small lipo receiver pack.
I'll let you guys know how it runs.
Hey OD - you wanna be a guinea pig?

:tire: :tire: talk about a power to weight ratio :tire: :tire:

keep us posted!!

But the guy we are talking about here is having trouble controlling his car with a 19t, so even if he is running outdoors a slower motor will help him learn.
We have been discussing the idea of silver can or something similar here. We have a couple of small carpet tracks and since they have allowed 13.5 in stock, there is no entry level class anymore

To add proof to this discussion: - I am the guy having trouble contolling my car, by the way... - the first 1/12th car I drove was a crc link car with a stock motor. It was after the race was over so the battery wasn't fully juiced up, but still had some runtime left. I had a blast driving that little car!!! :D I hit a couple of pipes, but made it around the track fairly well. One of the faster guys stayed out and drove a few laps with me - I couldn't keep up, but I looked much better during that couple of minutes than I have since I got my own car and started running 19t.

Why don't I race in the stock 1/12th class, you ask? There was not enough interest and the class went away...

Thanks again for all of your help!

I will be racing again in a couple weeks at the two day race in Rapid City, SD. Anyone going???

I... - this is hard to type - can not... make it to the.... North Dakota Prarie Knights Casino race

I will let you know how it goes. until then,
Jeremy

You bet! Your last lipo car was scary fast  This one looks promising, and the fact that the packs look like C4 doesn't scare me at all. Let's charge it in your pit area, though

Personally I was waiting for a lil' more from the Euros but luck was not on their side this time...

Thanks OdP!

You may be right more than you know. I like touring cars; But: This last weekend, we went to Omaha and my 5 year old son - who usually races a stock truck in the Novice class (offroad and carpet) - ran my T2 '007 with rubber tires and won the Sportsman (beginner) class. So, I don't know if he will let me run that car again. He kinda likes it!!! :D

Signed,
Proud Pappa :D

I've been running touring cars for a little while and just started running 1/12 scale. Just wondering what I should be doing differently with my motors. I've been rebuilding them the same way as my tc. It's been working ok but I need more. I run a co27 indoors on carpet. Anybody have any tips? Thanks :D

cool,if you can get a KD.it is a much faster motor.i set it up with that brush/spring combo and when you check it you should be drawing about 10 amps and about 8000-9000 rpm at 2 volts.these are the numbers i shoot for.break it in for about 200 seconds and throw it in. ;)
