Yeah, all the chassis kits since mid summer 2005 have been like this one. The rear lower pod plate fits into the rear of the lower chassis. It really looks cool.

Jason really sweats the details too. Note the holes under the heads of the pivot ball mounting plate screws so you can adjust your pivot balls to be perfectly free with out taking your car apart. The bottom of the lower chassis has a relief cut in it so the battery tape doesn't hang below the chassis. Every edge of the chassis including the cell slots come pre-beveled out of the box so no additional chassis prep is required...just CA all the edges. The damper post bolts on with two screws and an alignment pin so it is dead straight and rock solid.

adrian, you are right. it looks like the lower chassis plate in the rear is a little different then the original kit. I wonder if the lower pod plate will work with the version 1 of the chassis plate.

Nice design!
Is it my eyes, or is the servo not completely straight in there? How would that affect handling?

It looks a lot worse than it is in the overhead pic due to lens distortion. It is actually off by ~.5deg. I just re-did it. I hope its better this time...lol!

JRX-S Bill, you were telling me Sat. at Stockton that you run your Epic stocks at a lower gear ratio. I was running a EA with a 96 -26 combo, what did you gear yours at? Did you make it to HW Mon. and if you did what did you gear the Epic at for that track? Thanks in advance, Big Bill

Hi Big Bill,

Just got home from Stockton. Qualified 2nd in TC foam...Ahead of Badboy!!!

My current Stockton gearing on the Epic powered Rev 4 is 28-100 with 46mm rear tires. Used the same gearing at Gilroy on Monday...To lazy to change it. This spectacular (for me) Epic motor exceeds 26,000 rpm at 5V.

I assume that your "EA" motor is Monster-based which should likely have a 29-30 tooth pinion for the current Stockton/Gilroy layouts.

Little Bill

Thanks Bill yes it is a monster based EA, they have been working well for me latley but will try the Epic this weekend. Are you and any of the 12th scale crew going to race HW since Stockton has the Oval weekend ? I guess the JRX-S thing will have to go, to be replaced by RDX- Bill!! lol Thanks Big Bill

Undecided about HW on Friday; but, may come sometime during the weekend to practice. The 3 Wise Men have already said no to racing tomorrow.

The JRX-S is not quite dead...Will probably be testing it with foams.

Bill
