To have problems with PT on bumper you would have to tear off whole bumper assembly really. Even then I think PT would be ok.

I always had my transponder on the servo. Other guys had it on the bumper without problems, so you're good to go with any option.

My place is a real Xray workshop in the moment- we are building the T3 '12 and we are constantly doing some jobs with the M18 Pro, since it's the middle of the 1:18 indoor season. With all these things, I suddenly received another T1. When I say another T1, I basically mean a chassis and a top deck. Since I have tons of parts, I decided to build another car, and make something new and interesting with it. So, I forgot about the T3 and M18, and in one day I built a FWD Xray T1 I will try to get a Tamiya Peugeot 306 Maxi body (my favourite rally car) and I'm genuinely excited about this. Unlike my pure spec T1 Factory Kit, this new one is a mule - T1 FK chassis, gold aluminium parts (Evo 2), T1R shock towers..... So we'll call it an Xray T1

I think will offer good protection... mounting the transponder lower will keep your CG low as well...

Do you have pics of your current layout?

I can snap some pics then. And for the bumper - this is VTA! Anything can happen

Does anyone know if the ball bearings are interchangeable with the Corally C4?

As the cars share many parts they are getting harder to find....I've sourced a set of bearings for the T1 just need to know if they'll fit! Many thanks

Well... if you get the ID, OD and thickness of the Corrally bearings, that should give you an idea if they'll fit....

Well I am running my T1FK04 as an VTA in our trophy race this weekend. I will try to post a couple of pics of the three cars I am running but it has been a while. We have almost 200 cars entered so far.

Default 2 T1s

Good day!

Well my Ti as a VTA car didnt work too well. I had no rear tracttion at all. I tried several things with no luck. I decided th leave my old touring car as a VTA and put togeather a new touring car with the 2nd roller I have but was not using. I deccided to put it togeather as close as possible like the car is made to be. I haved used lipo saddle packs instead of a stick pack. Here is some pictures of the 2 cars side by side.

We do not normaly run the VTA so the next race for it will be this time next year all though I plan on trying to tune the chassis durring lunch breaks durring our outdoor season. The touring car is also for outdoor but will be run every outdoor race I am at. Our outdoor season will start sometime in April.

Wanted to bump this up and get some input from the other T1 guys out there.

I'm running VTA on carpet and am pretty consistant, the only problem I am having is whenever I start to push the car harder I traction roll. Current setup:

30wt f/r
team ae green up front (12lbs)
team ae gold in the rear (19.5)
Paragon Ground Effects

We have pretty high traction throughout the course but my biggest problem happens on a sweeper after the front straight and a hairpin on the final corner of the track coming up to the front straight. The car handles great in out tighter, technical infield section and is very smooth thoughout.

I was considering going to heavier springs in the front but don't want to rob Peter to pay Paul (fix the traction roll but make it a bear to handle in the center). Thanks!

Put the golds on the front and green on the rear and limit chassis up travel to 2 mm front and rear.

Default Xray T1 corner weights

I run an old T1 in VTA and I have some new Fast Weigh ZX 650 scales. I am looking for a rec on a good starting point for corner weights. Right now I have it 50/50 with 310 grams per wheel minus the body. We run a 1S battery in Minnesota so this why it is so light. Thanks, DP.
