I have updated my setup sheet on my site. There is a reference to the position of the front upper arm. Until Team XRAY provides us with a new setup sheet I have determined that 1 is the position nearest the chassis, 2 is the position most you have now, and 3 is the highest position. There is a front and rear holder so I labeled it with F+R, therefore, 1+1 is my setting. I have used 1+3 and it yielded excellent steer-in results and stability.

The likes of the TC3 and MR4TC have the benefit of having the weight of the motor to balance out the weight of the batteries. The Xray does not because the motor can is on the centre line.
The weight of the end housing is also adding to the weight of the batteries. If the electronics are on the left hand side you can benefit from having neater wiring and a slightly better weight distribution. You would still have to add a fair amount of weight especially when using smaller components.
Actually while I'm typing this I've figured that if Xray does this right and push the batteries further into the centreline of the car then it could work! Maybe, I'm talking my way out of my original descision

Ignorance still prevails. I have replied with apologies that you have not accepted. I will simply look past your post since they have had little substance of worth and lack proper usage of grammer and vocabulary. We all make mistakes and I am sorry the issue has ballooned beyond my post dated 10-19-2001 06:24 AM when I first acknowlegded my error in understanding your post.
Fat clumbsy fingers is not an excuse for mis-spelling words, this site has provided a spell check function. I also make spellings errors but in most cases reflect upon my comments for proper usage of words. I also reflect upon my intent and meaning of the message so that the audience understands. Spelling is not your only fault. It is your intellect that prevents you to let this die and it is beyond your capability to understand that you were ahead.
This all began when I felt that the tone of your message was condescending. I guess that is true. I am 31 years old and I am not your SON.
I tried to mend things by stepping back and observing the big picture with respect to you. Go ahead and delete all your past errors and attacks. I will leave my posts for others to observe as I feel that my actions were just. I made a mistake and I tried to repair it. It is your loss.
Good day and good luck to you Usagi. Come back when you are good and ready to.

dtm: I raised the same issues on this thread when i first saw the new chassis for the Xray. Heck me and you almost said the exact same things. Most of the people just blew me off, but it is good to see someone else raise the question. Maybe you'll get a better response.
I still don't see how it could work unless the moved the battery in as far as posible. Left as is in the pics we have seen, I don't see how you could ever balance the chassis. As I said here a long time ago, its hard enough to balance the Yokomo, Associated and now Losi style chassis with all the electronics opposite the battery. Especially with heavier 3000 cells and lighter electronics. So I figured it would be near impossible to do with the motor in a neutral position like it is on the Xray. Some one suggest that you just add weight to the electronics side, but imagine how much you would have to add if cars that have the motor fully opposite the battery still aren't balanced!
Finally someone just said "I'm sure Xray knows what their doing", so I just left it at that.........well until now of course.

Usagi: Everyone has read your post about being clumsy with your fingers.... also everyone has read RCCadet's apology, that should have been enough to settle the matter.
I think you are being a little childish on this one. I don't know you nor do I know RCCadet... but from a third party point of view... I think you should lighten up a bit!

Darkside- Maybe Xray will also come out with a 'LEAD' half chassis to balance out the other side!
