cheers, i made it from a bog standard racer kit TC3 it took a very long time almost a year, only working sats kinda sucked and i got the warpspeed of sombody off this very site :D alot of people say that modding the TC3 doesnt work, but i woked from the outside in, hubs, then steering blocks, wishbones etc it took ages but i found it helped, now all i gotta do is find a motor that doesnt cook easily lol but it is expensive as i found about 250 quid maybe more for all the hop ups inc warpspeed

what is the handling difference from the Stratus 3.0 all purpose to the Mazda 6 for carpet and occasional asphault

fjm9898 04-25-2005 07:59 PM

question, when you make the cuts to move the battery closer to the shaft as well as making cuts in the chassis between the cells, how much does that reduce the stiffness of the chassis? i run carpet so should i get the irs stiffening kit?

rcracer333 04-25-2005 08:33 PM

I dont think it would make that big of diffrent. I dont know if it will handle very good thou.

fjm9898 04-25-2005 08:34 PM

well it helps to move the batery closer to the center but i just wanted to see if anyone knew if it effected stiffness

What do you guys think the best over all gear rato 4 a tc3 with a stock motor in it? Rite not i am runign a 28pinio 72 spur. I was thing about going to a 28penion and a 69spur but i dont know.

PaZ 04-26-2005 10:21 AM

i think u have to drop the pinion size when u go to 69 or raise i cant remember it is ment to be better but ive never run it yet

Jack Smash 04-26-2005 10:23 AM

Depends on the stock motor, they all have diffenent RPM and Torque specs.

rcracer333 04-26-2005 10:40 AM

I am runing a team brood stock motor. ;)

Yes the chassis looses some of its stiffness. The IRS stiffening kit should solve that problem.
