What turn motor are you running? What size is your rotor? 12.3 12.5 13.0? What kind of car? I'm running a D4 17.5 with a 12.5 rotor in my touring car and I have brakes like crazy.

Default timing for speed passion 21.5 v3.0

Hi new to this.

i have a speed passion 21.5 motor and was wondering if i set timing at +10 would that mean it will give more stable smooth power towards high speed?

thanks

Another 21.5 question, I have the 3.0 running in blinky. Motor just feels low on power. The other cars I race against seem to pass it fairly easily on the straight. I have the FDR at 3.5 even though other guys at the track are running theirs closer to 4.0 mine still seems to lack bottom and top end power. I've tried about 5 different gear ratios and managed to improve the low down punch by running a bigger spur but the top end is even worse. Just cannot seems to get enough punch. Running new batteries as well.

I'm a bit confused. I was running a V3 17.5 in blinky mode in my buggy using the green timing board all the way to the right. Geared at 72/29, I was happy with low-end torque and top speed. Unfortunately the motor crapped out on me; most of the time it would need a nudge to spin, other times it wouldn't spin at all. So I upgraded to a V3 MMM 17.5 and put in the yellow timing board moved all the way to the left. Same ESC settings, same gearing. Suddenly, I am WAY down on top speed. Any ideas why?

...Any ideas? Wrong gearing? Too much timing? Need to reset the ESC?

Hello, I have a Reventon R that won't calibrate. This happened after trying to change the firmware to stock 0. It worked fine in mod 0. The program card won't show any of the settings. I never was able to download the stock 0 successfully. The Reventon program won't connect with the speed control. I'm wondering if there's a way to do a hard reset? Right now the speed control won't do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you updated the firmware in the programmer? I don't think this has anything to do with your original problem, but might have something to do with not being able to update to different software versions in the ESC. I've changed back and forth many times without any problems. Note also that once the firmware in the programing card is updated it has more options.

I've got a Reventon R that I've been using for 2wd Mod Buggy and it's worked great. I've recently gotten the onroad bug and switched the ESC over to my touring car. Downloaded the stock software and everything seemed good. Once I soldered up the motor and switched on the power... Nothing. Servo is fine, calibration procedure was done 4 or 5 times and appears to be correct. Reversed the motor direction on the radio, nothing. Tried a new sensor wire, nothing. The ESC worked fine on Saturday. Any other ideas? Also, when running the stock software, is the red light supposed to blink twice, pause, then blink twice again and continue this pattern?

Yes I've updated the program card. The same thing happened to a brand new Reventon Pro 1.1. I couldn't get it to work either. Had to ship it back to the seller. They sent me a replacement that wasn't new but works fine.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't think I'm going to get it to work.
The shame of it is when they work they work great. I just think QC is nonexistent at this point. The fact that I can't get it calibrated or the program card to recognize it doesn't give me much hope.

I finally got my motor to work properly, now I'm just wondering about the flashing light in blinky mode. I downloaded the stock software to my Reventon R. The red light now flashes in this sequence when throttle is at neutral position: Flash Flash Pause (repeat)
Is this the correct flashing for blinky mode?

What happened to the people that worked for Speed Passion? It seems they're no longer on this thread. I guess I'm out of luck as far as support.

Not ran a speed passion since the mmm v3.

How does the new v4.0 13.5 stack up against the competition, Inc short stack motors.

Cheers
