RedRC mentioned it in an earlier report from this weekends ETS round.

It also mentioned he came to a halt due to overheating.

Had a good showing with the SP speedo yesterday at Jackson RC Raceway running 17.5. Qualified 6th out of 18. I was the only SP speedo. Rest ran Tekin. Fastest lap of the day was 13.48 and mine was 13.61. Speedo ran strong all day. The motor temp's was a little high for my liking. Need to work on that. Next weekend is our big Memorial Day Race. 50- 17.5's and 30- 13.5's have entered.

This question because I saw that many clubs are taking this regulator to achieve a pure stock class. I was wondering if I was in one of the tracks where they run with this ESC, could I participate with my ESC on which I installed the FW in question, or I would be the difference in performance against them (both positive and negative)?

Thanks

Hi guys, someone has an answer for me?

Steve, the SP controllers do not like a lot of timing on the motors. Try using 5 degrees of timing instead of 10 degrees, then on your supercharger settings, try the following:

13-2
14-1
15-1

also put a fan on your motor, and wire it directly into your battery. try that, and let us know how it works.

Steve,

also, i would gear it about the same, and as always, keep a close eye on the motor temps.

does anyone know if it was the 422 software the TRF team were using in mod 4.0t at the latest ets round ? , i guess the settings would be fairly mild..but it sounds like they were fast down the straight to the point where groskamp couldnt stick with them down the straight..Mmm

CraigM 05-23-2010 06:27 PM

more likely 518 or an unreleased "team" software

I'd like to know the sort of settings they were using, watching the video they certainly pull away from Jilles and his nosram. Hara's GM was in a league above them even

charlie_b 05-23-2010 07:55 PM

Nope...it is the 100422. Boost settings were mild and timing down to zero.

Zero timing is Zero Timing. If the track to you goto has a Zero Timing Class, this version software is the one you will use.

just looking for a setting with the new firmware. I'm goina to be using it in a wgt car with 2s lipo. with a 10.5.

I need a not so aggressive start off the line and coming out of 180's to the the nature of the car can be a bit squirlly if you understand pro 10,s you know what i getting at.

plus a quick down the shuts and a good blast for the straight.

yes,i have the new firmware updated and the motoe is a trinity base. not sure what what excatly it is. just trying to get a decent starting set up that i can go for there.
