LOL, if there was one thing during the build that really got to me was this part! I forgot all about it! It turned out though that despite all my cursing and tearing down of each upright to get it 'right' all I had to do was keep spinning the screw. At first I was like, "Why the eff did HPI do it this way? Effing HPI!" But then it made sense given the car's adjustable width.

Dammit I smell troll.

That's exactly what I did.

I had the same issue.
Use one of the longer screws to pull the hex into the cv joint (though the wheels).
then remove the longer screw and use the correct size.
That did it for me!
hope it helps!

...but when it's the same guy saying the same thing for the umpteenth time it's no longer rational criticism, it's just trolling.

the issue with the nuts falling out is a good thing to know

but hearing that its another design problem is COMPLETELY USELESS

when you're pissy about a manufacturer then any comment you have comes out negative and useless

Exactly ! Its not like he constructively notified the forum of a few problems with the car. He has instead used the thread to trash the car and the company that built it.

All of you guys respond the same way .. all get upset when someone dares to make a comment about the stupid design of the car that you have purchased.

The car could have been far better with the use of a simpler design in a number of areas.

I have no personal problem with HPI. The last two mini size vars have however got a massive number of design flaws. Look at other peoples reviews of the Switch.

BTW, I did mention where the problems were if you bother to read back more than 3 posts.

The car simply has a number of design features not needed on the car.And these features do not work.

But keep your heads buried in the sand guys

So we shouldn't mention any problems at all?

Not very fair on guys who maybe are still deciding on whether to buy the car or not.

So far the obvious design problems include:

Strange wheel fixings when a simpler system could have been used

A battery fixing system where you see the majority of batteries "dangling" by tape from the underside of the top deck !!!! And near impossible to fit the more commonly accepted lipo stick pack style that is used by the 2WD Mini guys

Again, hes a troll.Quit responding and he will go away. With him being a rep of a company on a forum and carrying on like he has will make anyone think twice about the type of person he is, along with the reputation of the product he sells.

A rep of a company? Hardly. I do own an internet retail business though and I look at what product I sell

I just believe the racer should be informed of problems etc. Then it is their choice whether they buy or not.

If you want I can sell you a Cup Racer cheap. Never raced. Not even painted

FYI, in the past I have criticised the first Losi JRX touring car for its design faults, the TC5 is not much better. And interestingly enough the things I mentioned were the first things that the manufacturers changed because they were faults

Hey, guys enjoy your car.
