I guess it depends on what you do with it. It doesn't need crazy power, a 17.5 or 13.5 should be plenty.
Even a proper 21.5 can be fast. Is this for club/Spec racing? Playing/Bashing?

Obviously it doesn't need much, being a small car. An inexpensive HobbyWing ESC and motor should be enough.

By competition do you modified?

Always wanted a cup racer and recently got my hands on one. Somehow also found an Exotek chassis set for it. Planning to run this in MTC class at a local club.
