I don't really like it. looks tacky, and the battery box will only hold sticks or stick shaped lipos.

read up for more info.
It can hold side-by-side packs and you can configure the shocks to standard mode. I don't know what you guys are expecting from a well designed chassis as this. Wanted it in all graphite and full aluminum?

define racing. just because it doesn't use plenty of graphite and aluminum doesn't mean it is not competitive. If that chassis design is not race inspired, then I don't know what is. Just put your favorite mini body and race it. nuff said.

The guy builds my favorite VTA car to date and he has Troll Spray. If you had a can of woopus you would be my hero.

back to plain old fun....i like it....

good attempt at keeping it low budget but yet with enough stuff to tinker on...
great idea..perhaps will help out a tracks and the hobby bring in new blood...

the battery tray is too nice...

this could be great at smaller tracks..

Keep in mind that this new car is a 4WD Mini and not a full size sedan. Looks like the Mini class is hotting up with this new release and it looks like fun.

This car looks like great fun. Not a complete toy but simple enough for someone to walk into the hobbyshop, take it out of the box, and run. And if it looks fun it will attract more people to race. I know the Richards will be running their own class of these things in Dayton Ohio (home of a HPI Challenge) weekly this summer. You are welcome to come join in the fun.

On Sunday, HPI had this little guy on display at round 4 of the RCGT Speedtech Showdown in Coroana. I got the chance to pick it up and really give it a good look. It is stout, solid and the Datsun body looked real cool. I can see this being a new class for the Roadrunners for sure.....this car is no joke and looks like a lot of fun to drive.

Hope they come out with a Celica GT body also.

We were drooling all over these over in the Vintage Trans-Am thread. I'm all over replicating a Bob Sharp Datsun!

It would be cool if they do up some of the under 2L bodies from the golden days of Trans Am.

It is a car on my must get list.
