optional spur and pinion to match the M05
gear diffs without the springs F & R (much smoother)
HR Alum outdrives
R CF shock tower
Disc break set, but they are coming off to race.

I am running the laydown shocks, but I am going to switch them to the tower as I am running the CIVIC body.

Should I get the optional springs, and sway-bars?

Thanks
I run on Ozite with foam tires and Jack the Gripper traction compound and this is what my setup is:

Front:
  • Pink springs, 55wt oil, option shocks laydown*
  • Kickup (track bumpy)
  • 0 Toe
  • 1 degree negative camber
  • Gold swaybar
  • 1 clip in front of upper arm 1 behind to set caster
  • Stock rollcenter
  • 5mm ride height
  • Orange/Double Pink foam tires
  • Ball diff adjusted to have no slip
  • Stock Droop
Rear:
  • Gold springs, 45wt oil, option shock set on inner most hole on option tower
  • No antisquat
  • 3 degree toe-in
  • 1.5 degree negative camber
  • No swaybar
  • Low roll center
  • 5mm ride height
  • Double Pink foams tires
  • Ball diff adjusted to no slip
  • Stock droop
*a little loose off power. Will try standup front shock tower.

[QUOTE=Sydewynder;7961760]Look in the manual at page 20 at the pics in the middle of the page. See if part 85281 is installed and that the spur gear is installed properly on it (two of the holes in the gear needs to fit onto the two nibs on part 85281). Make sure part 86219 is tight on the spur gear.

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS, IT WAS THE COLLAR THAT THREADS ONTO THE DRIVE SHAFT CUP THAT HOLDS THE SPUR GEAR ON....ONCE THAT WAS TIGHTEND IT WORKED GREAT.

NEXT QUESTION....ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FOAM TIRES AND WHEELS THAT WILL WORK. LOOKING TO RACE ON CARPET.

I haven't seen setup sheets anywhere for this car. Anyone know where I can find some, or have a good base setup for concrete?

Thanks

Hello guys. This is my first post, i´m new to the CR and i´m having trouble on deciding wich combo to use on it. The thing is that i´ve got a novavk havok 8.5, a velineon, and a CC sidewinder 5700. My idea was to use the sidewinder, but when i removed it from my sc truck I realized it says it is a 3.5T motor. Is it too much engine for the CR? I´m quite experienced on rc, but i wouldn´t like to wreck the differentials. Thank you very much

All of those are going to be more than the CR was intended to use to be honest. You could use one of those speed controllers with a different motor - I'd say at most a 17.5 brushless.

I've read about people using more in this car, so it can be done, but I don't know how well the internals will stand up to that power over long term.

Thanks
MikeR has a good setup for asphalt here. I think he used this setup in his youtube video of a race:
