My 415 is loose in the rear no matter what I do. I run stock rubber and I have to run take off 27's ,and I am wondering about the tires. The tires on the car are 3 weeks old with 18 / 5 minute runs . Are they wore out already? Also I am running 2 degrees of caster on the front wheels , how would the cars handling change if I ran 4 degrees ?

18 runs is quite a few runs on a set of tires. TO 27's wear pretty well tho. It might be worth getting yourself a few extra sets. I never go to a track without a good tire supply. If you have the TO 27 as a control tire, just get some more of those and try.

Give some more details ie. loose - on power, off power ?

Tryhard, you can use this on your 415 site as well.
Why scan one when there's one available to download from Tamiya? It's nice and good looking!

Well if its loose off power the first thing that comes to mind is rear droop. Try reducing your rear droop 1mm at a time and see how that works.

Also, you mentioned what will increasing the caster do, in a loose off power situation, it should help. Definatly try the 4 degree blocks.

I think it would be worth while trying some of the X series blocks if you already haven't.

add some Anti dive, try a 0.5 or 1mm spacer under the front suspension block at the front of the car and see if that helps.

Get rid of any front toe-out if you have some dialed in.

if your running a lower ride hight in the front, Even it out so its the same front and rear. Then drop the rear by 0.5mm and see how that works for you.

maybe try increasing the rear Toe in.

If that doesn't work, try some harder springs up front.

there is a few other things you can do but try those first, there the things I look at first if my car is loose off power.

Satoshi's setup is for the TA05 ?

Also, I'd be interested to know what springs Marc used on that setup. I guess they would be either yellow's, blues or whites. I'll give it a try anyhow....

I am not sure if it's a TA05 setup or the 415 because I found it under the 415 section of Tamiya site.

I race with this guy (Dan) and he has had a hard time the 1st thing to go I feel is the tires CS27's as I race every week on a new set the 1st thing to change is rear bite and I have found as I work the chassis the lap times fall off due to mainly toe hints freer =faster but @33.00 a set what is better I also went to big races and used club tires cs27 spent 1/2 the time setting the car up due to say 5 or 6 runs on them and when I put on the new ones to start the heats I spend the rest or the races freeing it up at a culd level race the traction is allways less than bigger race say 75 people or so...At the same time the tires U run at a big race will not work as good at a club race so,how long to run your tires=how much work u want to do and cash u have ...I know I will have 5 sets for the novak race

Also, pull apart your rear diff. I had major problems before with my car before I pulled apart the rear diff. My thrust bearing was stuffed, so that may be your problem. If thats fine, then use Jack's ideas to see if you can resolve it.

Interesting to see Marcs been running 0.5mm under his suspension blocks and camber links too...

Also interesting on the front suspension, running the shock out on the furthest hole on the arm..

The setup doesn't look.... authentic. From what I've seen of his car from the whole pile of photos, etc, the setup doesn't seem to resemble what is seen there, that's all. I am curious to give it a go though.
