if u find the right battery tray it gets the lipo out from the rear bulkhead nice enough too give you some good clearence
Bart would you be able to tell us the name of a battery tray which works with the 415's ?
I use this Battery tray on my 415msx, i run the Yeah Lipos with the bumps on the bottom, they used to just fit under the rear bulhead (scrapped a little), once i purchased the tray, they offset the battery a little and they fit great.
I am in Australia and i purchased the tray from

BDTYPE2 - Bitty Designs Lipo Tray to suit TRF 415/416, PHi,
Description: This is an alloy Lipo tray that fits underneath your Lipo battery to move the pack out slightly to avoid the top deck on a touring car. Added advantage is that it also adds approximately 50-60g weight back on to the chassis helping balance the car.

Does the msxx mre come with 2.5mm deck plate? How does the car handle in high grip carpet with rubber? I'll be running it in 27t/17.5 class. Thank you in advance.

for those asking you can still get most parts from tamiya america.

does any one know how to get the blue outdrive protectors off the tamiya msx mre front spool. I tried squeezing the split halves of the outdrives together and pulling the blue AL thinger but it won't budge. I feel like i'm going to snap the delrin. Any tips?

You have to squeeze it pretty hard. Dont be afraid to break it. Its a very tough piece. Look at the MRE manual and you will see that you have to file off a little bit off the edges. You have to take some material off the splitting lips, so the white part should look like this ( ).
