I looked at the chart and was curious, Aren't the Neg. signs in the wrong place. Usually Neg. means toe in and if the narrower is the front block would you have neg. toe rather than pos. toe?
Just curious though the the chart is still very helpful for a quick guide knowing that you just have to switch the neg. and pos. sign.

No offence (and I do see your point, the setup sheets are labeled that way round), but I've always treated toe out as negative, and in as positive. Hence why thats the way I've labelled it that way when creating the chart.

Thanks for the answer. I was just asking to make sure I was not crazy. The chart is awesome and I appreciate the effort you took in making it. With your clearification I now know how to use the chart without confusing myself. And I usually don't even talk Neg. or Pos. as when some tells me the Degree of toe I know it usually is toe in unless they are talking about the front.

I run 48dp on my tamiya cars.. Im confused on how i work out a ratio cus a 25 tooth 48dp pinion is bigger than a 25 tooth 64dp pinion so even though the calculation is the same the ratio must be different. Im struggling a bit to put this into words...... Can you understand what im asking

Also don't run 48 dp with 64 dp it won't work!!
With the gears the size doesn't matter but the ratio does 25 tooth on 102 tooth spur at if both gears 64 or both are 48 will work out the same. But you can't fit a 102 tooth 48 dp spur in a 415 as it too big. So ratio will pinion divided by the spur * internal ratio of the drive trian 2.187 for orignal drive train and 2.25 for the new tao5 drivetrain.
Arguements for coarser 48 pitch is it stronger and easier to mesh
Arguements for a fine 64pitch is it's more efficient than 48 and quieter too .
i hope I have explained it in as simple terms as possible, as i am mechanical engineer i can over complicate it.

It's still pretty easy to see which will be stiffer than the others... If you consider how that mount on the car, and some basic mechanical thoery.

How come you have not got cosmo? it built into solid works. Using software utilises the strength of the componet in the right places and removes weight where you don't want it or you can make a thicker cf top deck of the original optimised design.
You want the top deck to be stiff but not too stiff to cause the car to tweak when hit things so you want the design to cope with a little flex when you hit things i.e boards or pit walls......

I would highly doubt that the design of the current top deck has been anywhere near any computer modelling... (same for the chassis plate).
And I'm using SolidEdge v14, not Solid works, hence why I don't have Cosmos. BTW,it's all self taught, I enjoy playing around with designs and stuff. Would be interesting to run the designs through the software... but how much difference it would make over all is negliable.

how about trying something like the xray adj top deck..make the same size cut outs and use the xray parts for the stiffener...
maybe you could even leave the screw hole on the batt side off..the one that holds the antenna mount on the electronics side
