I am thinking that it was also powering the signal portions of the esc instead of the actual car battery because the esc was probably switched off in order to avoid the cutoff.
But what do I know im only guessing.

Our original plan was to release a 5700 and this is what our prototype packs were but we were asked to drop down the mAh to help mod slowdown as mod is currently way to fast. By dropping the mAh it allowed us to lower the case some so it fits better and to lower the price as well. 4000 is plenty of capacity for the stock classes and in fact we cycled one pack and it was at 4135.

Wouldn't it be cool that if all that is needed is the booster circuit or a higher mAh reciever pack to make sure it stays high enough with the speed control turned off. That being said I think it maybe more complicated than that but people should be patient as this is something new and will need to be wrked out. At the moment if a racer wants to run 12th scale and doesn't want to worry about the potential issues with the single cell Lipo just run sub-c packs.

This past weekend there was a demo class with 6 cars at the Ovalmasters race and everyone really enjoyed single cell Lipo 13.5 from what I was told the lap times were a bit better than 17.5/4 cell.

Just got back from running it with a gtb with all wires intact and not turning the gtb on. It worked for the whole 8 minutes and did not drain the receiver pack anymore than usual. This is the setup im running from here on out.

Pretty much even, but today was just a practice day and the track was slower than usual. But once traction comes up a little and I get a little more chassis tuning done on the car it should be perfect. Last Saturday when I was running it before it dumped it was very even with 4 cell 17.5 cars, and it feels the same now through the entire run as it did Saturday before it dumped. I see this being a great option to run with 4 cell 17.5 cars.

I like this testing. It makes more sence to find a way to combine with the 4cell stock instead of trying to kill 4cell.

Hope it works.

Look, not in this thread too.

Nobody's trying to kill 4 cell! If you had read the other thread before commenting you'd know the logic behind what's going on.
