SMC 4000/25C/3.7V single cell Hardcase pack.

2 Attachment(s)
Finally we just got in our new single cell Lipo with hardcase. We decided to go with 4000mAH as we feel this may help 12th scale mod to slowdown as the speeds are to fast at the moment and 4000 is plenty for the stock classes.

Part# 4025S 4000mAH 3.7 volt 25C

Retail: 75.00 Estimated Street Price: 55.00

Size: L93mm x W47mm x H20mm

What will the performance be like compared to a 4.8V 4cell pack?

I realise the car would require a receiver pack but will it be much slower than 4cell?

Thanks
Skiddins

Would it work on a Modified 1/12???

dam 55 where can i get me one of them things:D

At the moment a single cell Lipo pack will work but not for the entire 8 minutes as the current speed controls have a cutoff built in that cuts power to the motor to send to the receiver when it sees a certain voltage. Novak is working on a speed control that will not have this cutoff and I believe that the new KO speed control has a very low cutoff which means it should be fine.

Novak is doing a booster circuit that will allow the voltage of the pack to be bumped up so your reciever gets enough voltage.

So there needs to be a few things to be worked out as far as electronics go but once it's done the single cell Lipo pack will be great as it will allow you the benefits of Lipo in 12th scale.

As far as speeds go so far we have seen 13.5 single cell is the same speed as 4 cell 17.5 this means if you run on a very small track and 17.5 four cell is to fast then 17.5 single cell maybe the perfect speed.

So rx pack required for sure with this? This could be a lot of fun with a 10.5 I think. Also, what is the weight compared to a 4 cell NiMh?

Thank You...

Now if only the case was designed with channels to run motor wires under the pack it would be perfect...:nod:

Danny, I need a couple packs asap as I'm hoping this can be a launching point for getting 1/12th scale going again at Trackside. From whom will I be able to purchase and how soon?

The weight should be close to half of 4 cell 4600 pack. As far as reciever pack goes it's currently the only way to go but once Novak releases the booster circuit there will be no need for one.

You've got mail Danny!

What did you guys find best for rollout with a 13.5 in testing? This will be used at Trackside.

Danny/SMC 11-17-2008 12:24 PM

I reccomend you get in touch with Donny Lia as he has tested allot with the single cell at his track. I think he may have posted info on the 5700 thread.
