i'm also after some info for a 13.5, i'm running mine with an spx stock spec but just can't get the gearing right and profile. i'm running it in a touring car on a tight technical indoor carpet track wot FDR should i aim for and in which profile

The lower the number, the faster the motor. 17.5, 13.5, and 10.5 are considered "Spec" motors (17.5 being slower than 10.5), and all of the lower number motors are considered "Modified" motors. The "turns" refers to the number of times the wire is wound around the core of the stator. Usually, higher turn motors use thinner gauge wire, so they carry less current. Lower turn motors use thicker gauge wire, and carry a lot more current.

don't worry folks had a evening ove trying different profiles and gearing and ended up on profile8 with an FDR of 7.0, plenty ove punch outta the tight corners and kicks in 2 a missile bout half way down the straight

X-12 10.5 WGT with 12.25mm 1s lipo rotor
im running WGT X-12 10.5 4 dot timing and 12.25 1s lipo rotor with a tekin rs speedo with no timing or boost. I have 88/33 gearing. car is ok speed but should i go down in pinion to get more torq? would that lower gear end up giving me more speed on the streight?

Weird things like that call for the process of elimination.
Assuming that your solder joints are ok and nothing is dragging in the driveline, and your speedo is setup right.... maybe check that over and redo the speedo setup to be sure.
Try another sensor wire. Try another motor, to make sure it is in fact the motor.
Then try replacing motor parts if you have spares: another sensor then another rotor, check the bearings. Hopefully some of that will be it. Otherwise it leaves only the motor windings which you can't do much about.

What kind of final drive and motor timing is everyone running in no boost 17.5 TC? Just want know where to start for a 80X36 technical carpet track.
