Sauce tires longer than TC, maybe 15-30 min for F1. Depends on conditions but you will have to test that out for yourself. Also, 30 SPF sunscreen works really well for rubber tires on asphalt. I used to soak and bag them overnight before race day with sunscreen. Use normal compound before each race.
sunscreen? Like spray on or?

25.5 is the norm across the country. 21.5 today is so fast and in an F1 the speeds will be like 17.5... a bit over the top for 2wd rubber tire cars.

Phone will use FX paragon the original minty stuff.
Our local track is sealed asphalt too so not that grippy for F1. We just use buggy grip when the track is loose (to clean the tires). Can use oily sauces when or if track is grippy or super hot...

It's super hot in Mesa AZ

any set up tips since you're on road too? I'm thinking 450cst center .24 speed merchant springs 100k diff in side tubes.

I thought the new Mesa track was fresh porous high grip asphalt. You are saying it's slurry sealed over now??

25.5 is the norm but 21.5 isn't too much for a 2wd. It actually makes it super fun , you really have to drive the car, so rewarding!

UF1 runs 21.5 still for F1. They have an F2 class that is for beginner/Intermediate that is 25.5.

The one good thing about 25.5, itsi super tight for performance. Don't see big gaps between brands as much like 21.5.

Those will work just fine. I have seen quite a few R1s blow up (25.5), tabs melt themselves off the stator. TSR should be great, just don't overgear. Temp below 150 and you will be fine. I run a HW V2, I can keep up with R1 on a tighter track. Big track, might see the difference.

Yes, I'm in the UF1 series running the pro 21.5 class. We have all been dialing out power and turning down the esc's because 21.5 is too much for the asphalt track that's used for the series. There are twice as many people running in the 25.5 class. It's more scale and more consistent to drive and better for the hobby. The rules are going to allow 25.5 in the pro class in the next season. High grip asphalt would be fine for 21.5 but those kinds of tracks are hard to find around Socal these days.

I agree 100% we ran 21.5 f1 for a year and was not very scale inmo. 25.5 is just as fast on our track as we ran both together during the switch from 21.5 to 25.5 and once everyone saw the 25.5 winning they all switched pretty quick.
Village Raceway - South Florida On-Road R/C Racing is our track. I feel 25.5 better suites these cars.

Just finished practice with Roche Evo. Best the car has been. Matched the fastest lap from fastest guy today, car is pretty dialed. Still get some inside rear tire lift once in a while but still very quick. Black carpet, pit 573/575, 6000wt side damper, soft side springs. Otherwise kit setup.

What's your opinion on the gear diff? I spoke to a local pro (finished ETS Top 10) and he said, he doesn't need the gear diff. I looked at some street and pics of the event and the gear diff doesn't seem to be very common.

I only think of buying one, because our track is bumpy and dusty and I hate cleaning the diff all the time
