I agree completely.

I have ran a 21.5 and 25.5 in the same F1 with the same 2s battery and did not change set up on esc or car in the last week and the only difference I fell is less power out of the corners, I ran the same gearing and my times were .03 slower with 25.5 on carpet. I say stay with 21.5. the racers who won before will win even with 25.5. It take a lot of practice and dedication to run with the best, and I still have a long way to go to keep up with one of the best in the nation. It's all about fun and the people you run with anyway.

I just tested out the pair of Tamiya 104 Rubber tires for hot weather and they gripped surprisingly well. They are significantly narrower than Pit Shumizu or Ride tires so the rear was a little bit more tail happy than others.

Also, I bought a set of Yokomo wheels with the normal offset and used the same 572/571 combo. Compared to the wide offset wheels on the Exotek, havent noticed any significant difference

I've run 1S/13.5 in the UK and 2S/21.5 at Snowbirds and IIC.

Some of our Nationals last year were on larger tracks, and whilst the top speeds were pretty good there was a lot less punch out of the corners. That combined with the reduction in weight did make the cars easier to drive. When the grip came up I really missed the punch and challenge of 2S/21.5

We're running both options this year...and no surprise which one I'm choosing

Entries for the F1 class at the first BRCA national round in Jan 2016 are well into two heats, which is the most interest we've had in the class since the golden days of Ardent raceway.

At the APPA raceway, in São Paulo - Brazil, has been held the “Campeonato Paulista EP 2015”.
I'm super pleased to inform that Paulo Roberto Martins won the title with his Fenix Mistral, using a Fenix PhiGamma body and GRP tyres.

Podium saw this order
1st: Paulo Roberto Martins – Fenix Mistral
2nd: Lissandro Hossoda – Xray X1
3rd: Luis Castori – TOP F1X

I've to say an huge "thank you" to Paulo, for trusting Fenix
Muito Obrigado, Paulo!

Some empirical evidence today:

Today I raced my Exotek F1R at my local club and won the A-main. 21.5 motor. I also have a 'loaner' F1 that I let people use to try F1. It is an F103 w/ F104 front end and a 25.5 Novak. In the A-main, the 'guest driver' drove it to a 4th place finish.

My fast lap of the day in the F1R was 12.84 seconds. After the day was over, I put my 'good tires' on the loaner and turned a best lap of 13.06 seconds, and it was VERY easy to drive. Turning consistent 13.1 and 13.2 seconds. And that 13.06 second lap was still faster than the 2nd and 3rd place finishers' best lap in the A-main.

I'm not saying it's better, worse, or whatever. But it shows the 25.5 motor's capability in F1. I found it very interesting.

Which 21.5 were you using?
